I am making a new deck, using mostly GE cards.

Do i ;
1)Buy singles from online ( BTW; any one know one that is cheap?)
2)Buy Booster Box
3)Wait for MD
4) Forget about it

I really want these MD cards, but i dont really feal like spending 60 + dollars for 60 cards. Any ideas how i should get my cards?\

It depends on what deck, you want to make. I guess you could wait for MD, but i find getting singles to be better, cause you know what you are getting. But if you are making a deck out of mostly GE, then get a box of GE and trade off the cards you get from there that aren't useful to you.

So i shouldnt get the box? Or i should becuase i can trade all the cards away that i dont want? And where would you get singles?

It is up to you, if you get a box of GE, you can keep the cards that you need, and trade away the cards that are useless to you. I guess you can get singles from the trade forum, under the auctions and sales house. Or you could get them from ebay.

So is spenind 100 or 110 or less good for a few cards and than trading them? What is the probibility of me getting Lv.X cards and cards that are rare or very tradable? I will get it !

Where would you get one for cheap ? Online if so, where? I my town, that wuld be HJeros Collectibles!

And which is better? i am thinking of getting GE but, do you think SW is better? I dont konw, but i like GE a littl e more. What are your veiws?

Puppets; Si that right? What about shipping? is it worth it or not?

The only way your giong to get a better deal is by buying Japanese boxes, which I advise anyways because then you're guaranteed more than one Lv X's, whereas in our boxes we're not even guaranteed even 1 for certain.
I've never bought a box over the internet, but I know its a much better deal than 110 at some card store.
I don't know how much shipping would cost, but overall I'm sure it wouldn't run you more than $90 or so.

Agreed.

Or, you can look at scans of cards from recent sets and buy specific cards online. That's what I'll be doing with MD: instead of spending $90 on a box and not being guaranteed four Empoleons or Call Energies, I'll be spending less and getting everything I want out of the set.

I don't know where to get them online. I know a shop about a 30 minute drive from where I live that sells boxes for $80. And there is no shipping price either because you are buying them in the shop.
I also wouldn't spend more than $95 on a box.(Including shipping)

Hmm. So;

1) i should not spend over 95-100 Dollars on the box
2) I should may by buy a japanese box

So ;

1) Where would i get a cheap box/? Online or off
2) HSould i get the jappenese box? Some one have the stastics that boxes are better or something? I know the japense boxes are better, but i liked being able to read the card, ovcourse i could proxy the card, which i would have to, is there some one who knows about buying and using japense cards?

Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:

I like i can find one for 96 dollars. So i may want that.

Please answer about the jappense cards and which is better SW or GE or about the cards.

I gotta run, Help!

People say that Japanese packs are better because you get a foil rare in every pack. And in DP4 and DP5 you get an average of 3 Lv.X per box. (I bought 8 boxes and 6 had 3 Lv.X but 2 boxes only had 2) People also usualy trade more for Japanese cards.
On the down side, there are only 20 packs per box in Japanese.

So japense cards trade for more? so i need alot of cards, would it be worth it to get a japense box becuase or rarer cards or a us box becuase more chances?

And whats bbettter SW or GE?

I just bought a box of GE at a local comic store for $92+tax (total ~$100). I could have bought online for $95 total, but I'd have to wait a week or so. The box distribution was 15 Rare Holo, 31 Rare, 119 Uncommon, 184 common, and only 1 LV.X. I got 1 or 2 of most of the Rares and Rare holos, 3-4 of most Uncommons, and 5-6 of most commons.

The best set for you really depends on what kind of deck you want to make, and what cards you already have. If you can't decide, maybe you can find a friend to pitch in with and buy one of each. It will be a lot easier trading with one friend to get the cards you want.

I also think that buying Theme decks can be a good bet if you find a deck that has the cards you want. They typically have 3 Rares, and 11 trainers. Online a Rare pokemon will cost $3+ and the trainers cost ~$1. You should be able to find them for $12 at Target or Toy's R Us. I usually buy a theme deck if it has 2 rares I want and 3-5 useful trainers. I bought 4 of the GE Darkrai decks because it has 1 Darkrai, 1 Beedrill, 2 Quick Ball, and 2 Roseanne's research. For $50 I got 2 nice decks.

Good luck,
Jeff
