Manchester League/events?

Hi all,

First post with this new account. I'm Michael, been in the game about a year, I suppose. You may know me from such pokémon events as London Regionals, this year and last. I played a Kingdra deck which failed somewhat. When I went regularly to league I went to John's league in Finsbury Park. Now I don't go so much because I'm concentrating on A Levels, but I will be at Nationals, if I can get a deck together in time!

Anyway, the question is this: next year I'm at university in Manchester: is there a league there and are there regular events? What's the turnout like? I won't have to go to Hessle, will I? That would sadden me.

I'm moving in in September, obviously. Will the people who run this league, the existence of which I'm not certain of be at Nationals?

Michael

I used to play in the Manchester league when I was in Liverpool for uni, and it's definitely a fun place for league. They've got a lot of Master players, and it was always a good laugh. They do have a good turnout and Rod, the League Leader, is awesome ;)

manchester regular

Aah, every league says their leader is the best. Glad to get all this positive feedback though, and I'll be along in September. :D (Unless, of course, I totally muck up my exams.)

Have to say the Manchester league is alotta fun ive been there a few timews........its competitive.....especially in the Masters, i wouldnt be surprised if they got a few players in the top 8 this year.....And Roddish has an ecentric personality to say the least.........and Fanboy is the best games shop ive been to........considering ive covered most of them:smile: Anyway theres a battle road this saturday put it this way i would go that far from London if it was bad:thumb:

Yeap even though i have only just started pokemon (last week infact) it is safe to say it is a really cool place for pokemon or yugioh.

P.S. Rod is the best leader ever.

we've been going there for nearly 3 years now, used to live in manchester but we moved away in september last year but still can't keep away.

fanboy3 is on newton street just off piccadilly gardens, a straight walk down from piccadilly train station :)
