There is a Pokemon DS tournament on Saturday night that my boys want to try and it is $2 .

The event number is 0887.

But do a search for Nintendo and you'll see they have 10 different Nintendo DS tournaments (one of them is Pokemon).

Yes, 0887 is for Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. There is also a Pokemon Trozei and then other non-Pokemon games. The event cost is $2.

Can't play in US Nats anyway due to residency restrictions ... I am mainly there for the Professor Cup, demo, research, etc.

League Play isn't really an organized event. You play someone and then go report the results. It can happen any time.

Registered and waiting for the tournament to start? Find some one for a quick match, and report it as a league game and get free stuff!

Get T2'ed in a tournament? You can either sit around for another 30 minutes waiting for the next round or play an unofficial rematch. You can report the rematch as a league game and get free stuff!

(Note: you may be asked to leave the main tournament area for your rematch.)

I believe that the only matches that don't count towards league are official tournament matches.
