Hi,

is kabutops md + dusclops DP a bad combo? it's supposed to be that you use roam to put 20 on all and then take out kabutops to do 10 to each plus 70 to active. plus kabutops disables trainers?

thanks

It's pretty good, but something that has a Damage-spreading Power/Body (like MD Zapdos or Absol ex) would probably be better.

Kabu + Dusclops isn't bad to use until you get something quicker, though. ^^

Dusclops does 20 to all on heads, while Lucario only hits two, one of which is already active. The only problem i forsee with Dusclops is you could easily flip two or three tails in a row, which not only gives them free turns to attack you, but slowly kills yourself for them. You could play it with Gyarados so you have something to hurt...

Its a bad combo.
Not because they don't work well together, but because:
1. Dusclops is a coin flip. If you want a coinflip for spreading, go for Zapdos.
2. We have much better options. Prinplup DP, Vibrava SW, ect.
Go for more reliable spread than Dusclops, Prinplup works well. Vibrava even matches your energy type.

If your going to go Water then Go Fossil. Omanyte, Omastar & Aerodactyl will help out better than Prinplup. This is my choice and dose well.

Omanyte (MD) - Call Other Fossil and spread Damage (Better Than Prinplup).
Call Up - Once during your turn (before your attack), you may flip a coin. If heads, search your discard pile for Helix Fossil, Dome Fossil, or Old Amber and put it onto your Bench. This power can't be used if Omanyte is affected by a Special Condition.

Wash Over (20) Does 10 damage to 2 of your opponents Benched Pokemon. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokemon.)

Omastar (MD) - Spread Damage 1st then Devolve for KO which helps Kabutops.
Primal Swirl - Once during your turn, when you play Omastar from your hand to evolve 1 of your Pokemon, you may remove the highest Stage Evolution card from each of your opponent's Benched Evolved Pokemon and put those cased back into his or her hand. You can't use more than 1 Primal Swirl Poke-Power each turn.

Aerodactyl (MD) - Places Damage when using Poke-Power which helps Kabutops
Primal Claw - After your opponent's Pokemon uses a Poke-Power, put 2 damage counters on that Pokemon.

Omanyte does not spread better than Prinplup because Omanyte does not hit everyone for 10.
Aerodactyl only spreads to pokemon with powers.
I also stated in my post that Vibrava spreads as well AND matches his energy type.

My mistake. you didnt say which Prinplup. Prinplup (MD) also has Wash Over (50) for 3 Energy. Prinplup (DP) is beter cause does 10 to everyone

Whismur from the same set as the most recent exploud (SW?/GE?) for one colorless has flip a coin, if heads, 10 to all your opponent's pokemon. This could possibly be used as a starter in Kabutops if you don't want to use Zapdos since he only (possibly) works once, then wastes bench space. Whismur can evolve into Exploud, who can do some serious damage/trainer lock and can spread damage well.

IMO, Kabu is quicker with just Aero and possibly Claydol, maybe Absol ex.

Vibrava/Kabu will be a pain in the butt to get set up quickly. Your opponent will Candy everything possible as soon as he sees the Dome Fossil. So yeah, I'd advise straight-up Fossils with minimal Tech.
