So I get up early (7:00) and have everything ready to go. I am playing Plox with a 2-1-2 meganium (d) to counter empoleon.

Place - NG aka Neutral Grounds
Attendance (seniors) - 6
Rounds - 5
Top Cut - 2

R1 against Mario with Blaze,Mag, Catty

I get set up really quickly and psychic lock him to death as he can't energy draw.

1-0

R2 against Aziz al Yami (awesome name) with Aerodactyl/Kabutops/Omastar

I tear him apart since he gets energy drought for 8 turns.

2-0 (that's for stalling alex out)

R3 against Jarret Jacobson with Empoleon/Omastar

I take him down with psychic lock and he can't get the energy he needs.

3-0

R4 against Robert Chirco with HounDoom

he gets set up pretty quickly and I make a misplay by psychic researching a team galactic's wager and giving him everything he needed. I got crud anyway.

3-1

Must win R5 to make top cut

R5 against alex chong with Mag/EV/dol

he just gets a mag and baltoy to my turn 3 gallade. I win turn 4

So I get top cut against Jarret

This had to be the most amazing game I have had in a while. He takes the first 3 prizes with empoleon and I thought it was over. I took a prize with psychic lock. Meganium helped a lot as it shut down dual splash and rendered surf together pretty helpless. He stalled a lot by talking to the judges and is friend Aziz. He got to 1 prize while I had 5 prizes. With the help of megnium I was able to make a comeback of 4 prizes! It was 1 to 1 prize, My gallade had 110 on it and he had an empoleon on the bench with 2 energy and empoleon active with no energy. He was able to CP and get warp point.

I got ralts, energy, RC, scramble, copycat, and psychic energy. I get wagered and win the wager but get nothing good. (5 energy and a meganium). I concede with 4 minutes left.

sorry man, i wanted to give ya a huge time extension but couldnt >.< I gave u a 5 min one but it wouldnt have mattered, that wager killed u and he had everything lolz Game 1 was full of jarret having add and his misplays, You put up a greta fight, he wasnt stalling though and wanted the match to have no time limit since it was just a battle roads XD lolz Great job man, btw Mega d was a nice tech and works much betta then dusknoir against emp, :p to garchompx12 lolz

It wasn't the time that made me mad. He was constantly talking to Aziz and therefore he should of gotten a prize penalty which would have given me Game 1. You guys did try to give a time extension and I have to thank you for that, but Lizanne the head judge at denville even said he should have gotten a prize penalty or even a game loss.

lolz its just a battle roads and jarret was talking to EVERYONE, they didnt do anythign when he did it at STATES!! ROFL

No offense, i thought aziz hoverin ova jarret really messed him up and gave you a great chance for teh come bak as he basically dominated both matches :-/
 
Ok are you seriously saying I stalled you out? I did talk a lot but that didn't take up time. I also asked if we could have either unlimited time or a time extension but Dan said no, and you can't argue with the head judge. You also have to relize I was playing Empoleon, a deck that you need to think each move out, especially when confronted with a card like Meganium δ.

Honestly I think this is what the whole premier rating system is doing to the game. No one has fun anymore. People accuse others of stupid things. I recall at regionals that one of my opponents tried to get me a game for losing my dice. I remember the 05-06 season where people were nicer, had more fun, and could shared a few laughs during a game.People then could walk away happily from their loss, knowing they've learned from there mistakes and knowing they'll do better next time. Now it's all serious business.

I know Lissane very well. She actually judged my matchn in the finals of states last year. I remember that during the match, she and I had a conversation about speaking Japanese.

It's just a game, there will be plennty of other opertunities for you to win. As you said in your other report, you have three more Battle Roads to go to. I think this was the only one I can attend.

Also, sometimes I talk a lot during a match. Either accept it, or don't and move on. And remember, I asked for the extension too, I hate winning on time.

And finally, stop trash talking Aziz and me. Neither of us want to be thought of as stallers, because we're not. You've never played him when he's hyper, he's like me times ten.

ahah, my boy jarrett is a genius lol. POP rankings ruined this game. :frown: just look at this **** lol.

let's be serious though.. "2-0 (that's for stalling alex out)" first of all i'm friends with alex and i think me and him both know who would've won had that game gone on. i had a godly field, 2 claydols, ralts RC gardy with DRE in hand. quit life.. you're acting like you're some kind of pokemon hitman sent out to kill aziz al-yami cause he stalled out your friend. and if that's the case you're pretty lucky i didn't get energy for 7 turns because your setup would've gotten wrecked, i guarantee it. either way chill out bro, it's all part of the game. i had horrible horrible luck vs you and i got over it after like 5 minutes. if alex is still mad about getting stalled out 2 weeks ago.. come on guys, you're cooler than that. lol :cool:

but wait, there's more.. this part made my day lol "he stalled a lot by talking to the judges and aziz". bro were you in a hyperbolic time chamber or somethin cause your memory must've gotten wiped out. half the time i was laughing at jarrett's misplays (which were hilarious btw LMFAO) and the other half i was... let's say "having fun" on his iphone (lol). ok, maybe i wasted like 30 seconds of his time by saying "misplay" a few times but let's be honest, would you have won in game 2? all i remember is a ralts and a baltoy vs 2 empoleons, if you were somehow able to comeback and win that i think you deserve to be crowned world champ. but oh wait, you conceded, so it didn't matter anyway. :eek:

either way man i'm not trying to be an ***hole but come on.. all i'm hearing is sour grapes in this thread. i think you're a cool person man but how are you gonna make excuses when you were already lucky enough for me to get an 8-turn energy drought. i deserved to win that tourney, or at least 2nd place to jarrett (which is what probably would've happened). either way congrats and i like your meganium tech. good luck in future tournies. ::thumb:

Yes I was there so yea...

Going in early in the day you knew the envoirment was going to be loud and distracting. All players there including the staff were in a general laid back mood with the aspect of lots of fun on the mind. No one was concerned about rankings and points and all were breaking the talking during matches rule as many times as people rolled dice during an average match. :p

Every player at the event was not serious in any way. This would happen to be the first and only complaint about any players there and not the venue, which btw got over 9000 complaints about being too hot and crowded even with the weak ac on. You know how bad it was there. XD

So in closing, yes this may be hard for you to accept but unless there was willing intent to stall you out (where all parties including judges and HJ involved tried to avoid), then there's nothing more than sour grapes to be had here.

Hopefully you won't take this as a negitive reflection on the area in general. Just know that during cities - regionals, everyone in our playerbase does take it serious when needed.

Dude, it's a Battle Road. You make it seem like it's a Regionals/Nationals. It doesn't really matter if he talks a bit. I mean, come on. And Jarrett is my friend. From what I can tell, he wouldn't stall. Like Lawrence said, our playerbase is very serious when it gets big. It's a Battle Road, I know you, and you're much better than that.

see i knew it lol, alex is cool. =P oh yea man, sorry i did sorta stall you out.. i didn't really mean to since it was my first time playing GG so i barely knew what i was doing, but i really would've liked for that game to go on just so it could finish honorably. time is a *****. :frown:
 
If you felt that Jarrett was stalling you by talkin to Aziz you could have appealed to me and I would have easily asked Aziz to leave the area. When I was playing in the finals in Brooklyn I felt a bit distracted when I lost the first game . John A was near me at the time so I asked him to move. If he had not move I could have easily asked the HJ to make him move. Next time this happens be sure to talk with the HJ. Anyways congrats on making top 2 :)
