Umm.... as long as its "god Blast" and not "God Blast" most people would be fine with it. The will probably change it though, just like they changed the cool sounding "shoot down" to the some what dumb sounding "bring down".
 
america needs to grow up,if it weren't for japan you wouldn't have your precious pokemans,suck it up and take the L.
 
For Gardy X, I like Bring Down better than Shoot Down lol. For God Blast, I say it will be....

thanks for all the replys guys this was brought up when me and my friend jordan were reading the cards and we asked his dad about it (whos a preacher) and he told us the main religion over there is Buddhism so he suggested change it to budah blast over here:]
 
"Sky Attack" (from the Pokemon games) is called "God Bird" in Japan. This isn't a new thing.

God is capitalized when it's the first word of a sentence no matter what its referring to. Besides, being the only lower case attack on a card would look stupid.
 
fyi: the buddha is not a christian-style 'creator god' with supernatural powers, so 'buddha blast' would make no sense at all...

Thanks, Pokemom, it kinda bugs me when people say that kind of thing without their research. Buddha was more of a prophet, not a god. Buddhists more look in his teachings than up to the sky at his image.
...although apparently there is some form of Buddhism where they look to him in a way as the Judaic god, but it is an uncommon form of it.
 
A Buddha Blast would be like... calming, healing and beautiful...
Contrasting God Blast which would probably be violent and destructive.

That's an awfully broad inference, Steve. EVERY religion is saying alot. ONLY Christianity is also saying alot, considering Jewish and Muslim religions share the same [DEL]god[/DEL] deity as Christians.

People in this country are too concerned with religion, race, and politics.
Seriously, this really isn't that big of a deal. I don't understand why Japan doesn't have to sensor anything yet the US must sensor any type of thing that might lead to controversy.

It's understandable in a sense and just stupid in another.

But yeah, it'll be changed obviously. Maybe something like "Divine Blast". Honestly, that wouldn't be too bad.
