Strategy

Who's conquering the metagame? Empoleon. This is an Electivire build designed for speed. Call energy then Mentor/Roseanne to get a multiple Electabuzz draw engine going, Quick Ball or Phione to setup Electivires or Claydol. Claydol can shuffle back the junk after drawing some with Electabuzz, and ideally use the Electabuzz powers after Claydol so you end up with lots to play. Wager/Claydol or Wager/Electabuzz great for disrupting and recovering from opponents' Wager. Ideally, you want to be in a situation where you can flip with discharge 2 heads = Empoleon KO. Electivire DP can come in and steal all the energies and just pwn whenever. Needs a lot of tweaking but I think there is good potential for some form of Electivire deck in the format right now.

I have something like this with Delcatty instead of Claydol and more Rotoms and it's very consistent, but I can tell you right now that it doesn't beat Empoleon. Dual Splash/Omastar just wrecks it and there's no way to stop it.

Have you tested any matchups yet? I'd be willing to try it out if it actually has game against non-Empoleon decks. I also don't understand why it's necessarily so good against Empoleon...you have to rely on flipping 2 heads to get KOs, and judging from Porygon-Z's performance at States, you can't really rely on it that much.

You have way to much on the 1 timers. They seem to take up valuable space and have nothing to do mid-game.

And you have to discard the Special Energy too when using Giga Impact. This is what I find bad when you don't have Lake Boundary in play.

Also, what are you going to do if Vire DP is Prized? You don't have any hard hitters you can rely on and Vire SW is a joke with the flippies.

^Is how I play it.
I don't say it's the best Vire deck but I have played 6-1 against Empo decks.
It might seem slow, but it does it's job pretty good.

who are you ^^ adam plays that same list and i saw mat in your sig so i prob know you

electivire is a good rogue play but unfortunatey it loses to,

eeve, mag, ape, garchomp, gardy, beedril,

good list though except the starter line looks a little inconsistent,

sadly, vire just loses hard to plox. They shut you down with gardy, and you can't ohko gallade while than can ohko like 3 vires. Really it's not even that good against empo, you have to discard all your lightning or hit flips with vire to actually ohko one, while empo can take out everything but the lv.x in 1 hit. It just doesn't have enough push to be a good deck.

Plox actually does nothing to this if you run DP Vire and Rotom. You just power up your stuff with Rotom and then OHKO Gardevoir. It's Gallade that's the problem. You can use Raikou or Charm/PP to OHKO Gallades, but it's a lot easier for them to constantly keep Gallades going.

lake boudary helps GG.GG might beat this deck. play some night maintenence. no lake boudary. dre doesnt really help nor does scrambles.

unless u get donked which might happen in some cases. if the plox/gg player plays lake boudary its 98%.

What sane plox player wouldn't go for the gallade and start owning immediately ?
even... while playing the df buzz makes you just that much more weak to plox or Gardy ..its attack is 60

Todds right this is a similar list but In many ways so different
I focus on beating most decks .... I mean half the reason I win is because of ER2 but honestly the deck almost needs it because its so weak and can barely fend for itself thats why its not really the serious play, if your going to a battle road to win it and take home the medal (card) yah know?

but I wish you the best of luck !! Vire is still my fav deck right now ..even though i played walrein last weekend lol:lol:

Adam~

The only way i see this beating plox or gg.. Is if u through in a 1-0-1 blastiose d line.. or maybe a 2-1-2.. and even then if they run duskinor or battlefrointer which most lists do now-a-day.. then its still a super hard match up.
