Pack of 3 Victory Medal Spring 08 sealed

I have a player who has won 3 Spring 08 Battle Roads, he opted not to take the Victory Medal Cards until he had won 3, and took them in the sealed pack of 3 cards. Still sealed in the original package of 3, what would that be worth?

well on average they sell for $25 - $30 each so I would say having three sealed would increase the value so I would think you would be looking at around $100 - $120 for collectors.

This is bogus, some TO did not pass out his card to his winners and is selling them. This is so wrong I hope PUI investigates and bans whoever is doing this.

What would make you jump to this conclusion? I have won 2 BRs. If I thought I could win three I would ask my TO if I could have a sealed pack as well. I dont think that the original poster has any reason to do that. POP has only done good stuff for him, he doesnt need to messed it up by "stealing" promos. I think you owe him an apology.

 wow, maybe you should look up just who you're accusing before you post? a PTO, 'gym admin, and OP's worlds photographer. go back and read mike's threads about bringing the game to the kids in shelters post-katrina...

you owe him an apology imho.

for those who cant actually read, i have highlighted some key points:

There is all the respect in the World that should go out to the CameraMan.

Maybe the player should keep the pack sealed for trade at Worlds. That should get some good stuff.

Thanks to all for the support from those that went to bat for me. It is real, I had 2 players ask me this last fall, and I saw nothing wrong with it, so I felt as long as I hold the card so that I only give away a new card I saw nothing wrong with it. Both of them asked me again this Spring, and a third. So far only the 3rd player has pulled it off, the 2 from the fall only have 1 win each this spring.

Both players from the fall have theirs still, I was just wondering what the value of it might be, seemed to me that for a serious collector about $150, but was looking for some validation. I don't know if he will sell them, or just keep them a something very special.

I thought this was on E-bay, and someone was reporting a pack for sale on that site. If this is legit then I am sorry, but the pack has to be opened to so that the other winners from the other age groups could have a card so how can one person get an unopened pack then. That still dose not make any sense.

I'll go ahead and admit that the player in question is myself. I kinda wish I hadn't opted out of playing in our first Battle Road.

Imagine the following over the course of 3 Battle Roads:
1st Battle Road--pack is opened, 2 are given out and 1 is held by the PTO in safe keeping.
2nd Battle Road--pack is opened, another is held in safe keeping by the PTO.
3rd Battle Road--the two in safe keeping are given out and the unopened pack is given to the player who won the three events.

Where is there any mention of ebay in the first post? You have no right to assume that and accuse anyone(especially a member with such tremendous good standing in the pokemon community) of doing that.

Try reading the first post and not assume the worst in people. :nonono:

I will run a total of 8 Spring 08 BR's, so at one, I open the pack and hold 1, at the next I still open a pack, but now I'm holding 2 VM's, so th the next (his 3rd win, my 4th BR) i have 2 loose, and 1 sealed, so he gets the sealed, and the other players get the 2 loose ones, and as the TO/PTO I now don't have any extras.

This might be kind of off-topic. At one of last spring's Battle Road I was to, the TO oppened the pack of VMs and found there to be 4 in there. He just kept the extra one for himself. (Whether this is allowed or not is not the point of this post)
You should check to see if you only got 3 in your pack. Without oppening it of coarse.
