Okay, theres little to complain about here. An amazing card, and the only way it could be better is if it was a Rainbow energy also. Or if it didn't end your turn....But yes, this will help when used in decks that don't like playing Pachy. Pachy will stay around as a small ward against Tools as long as there are decks that could be hindered by certain Tools. This will be played more and more methinks, or atleast up until the new season starts.

9/10

Chatot is great, but you aren't playing 4 of them in a deck. Call Energy is the best card in the set. 10/10

I don't really like this card as much as others might, mostly because of ratios:
a)If you take out 4 Pachirisus and put 4 Call Energy in their place, you increase the chances of getting a Baltoy or Duskull or whatever turn one, as opposed to that Pachirisu.
b)Your odds of getting a basic you want AND Call Energy are slimmer than getting one card, a Pachirisu.
c)When it comes to one of those situations where if you don't get ONE CERTAIN card and wrap this up your turn, they will win next turn, I tend to bench all my worthless basics so I can empty my hand and get the most use out of Claydol. I have probably won upwards of 8 games in the past 3 months this way, so it helps. You can't just empty your hand of Call Energy all at once.

I give it a 6/10; I'd rather keep my good ol' Pachis/Tauros.

I am going to playtest this though.

An energy that grants resources as well as providing energy? With a drawback that you would have to use if you were using a CFF pokemon anyway?
4 in almost every deck, best card I've seen in a while.

I love it, forget the fact that it provides :colorless energy, the fact that you get two basics if it's attached to your active more than makes up for it

10/10 in my book

eh, my only con is that its only a colorless energy. I wouldn't play it in some decks. otherwhise, its great! :)

8/10

One of the best cards to come out of the set.

9.9/10

SEE WHAT I DID THERE

The Truth IS Out There!

anyways, yeah this card is amazing. 9.9/10

and for those of you who are like "zomg sooooo good totally 542676547467354674576543656363654376587697804353687684768797587658/10," i hope you realize that doing that is the stupidest rating you can give anything. you are essentially saying that it should be used in any deck, including, but not limited to, Garchomp, LBS, Magikarp.dec, feebas.dec, nonexistent deck, deck that plays a 400 hp gengar basic that does 200 damage for WWW that is obviously ripped from a Goldeen, etc. You are also implying that the card should be put in your box of Fruit Loops, sent to you in the mail everyday, you buy at least 10000 copies of the card each day, is the best bookmark in history, should be used to clean your glasses, should be used as currancy, is the perfect weapon and should replace the use of firearms and knives, that it is better than video games/books/tv/internet/pokegym/cell phones/GOW/ER/SER/Rare Candy/Pidgeot/Muk FOssil/lass/the englsih language/religion/education/money/pokemon itself . . . etc. so yeah, unless you want it to basically be better than LIFE, think before you do a numerator larger than your denominator on a rating. =/

1/10.

Horrible card. 2 Basics? Big deal. I could be Roseanne'sing for 2 Basics or Energy. Plus, it uses up an attack. A turn wasted. It should never be played.

JK, lol, obviously, third best Energy in Modified right now (Scramble and DRE are still better), and it's definatly on my Top 10 list of cards in modified. Like, say I get my worst start possible - lone Baltoy start. I attach Call to Baltoy, and Call for Ralts and my Starter. Next turn, I attach to my starter, retreat Baltoy, and start setting up with my Starter! Maybe a turn late, but still...

Also, gives Sentret, the Pre-Evolution of a Starter commonly used in G&G/PLOX, a better attack move then Grope. Grope may be like a PokeDex... but getting your Basics is better!

Late game, it's still okay. It can be used as an Energy in place of a Basic Energy if you like. Sure, we may not have done that too much with Scramble... but that's because you want to keep it secret about your Scramble. You want them to go for the KO, so you can Scramble that Gardevoir and take that last Prize.

10/10

 Lol  Make cards not war!:lol::lol::lol:

10/10 easily

I used to think it was bad. Sure, CFF is good, but then your turn ends and you can't attack. That puts you at a disadvantage, right?

WRONG!!!

They way I see it, 90% of Call's use will happen in the first 5 turns of a game. It is awesome. If you are running Empoleon (as I am) you start with a Piplup. Attach a call energy first turn. Do I want to attack for 10 damage, or do I want to start loading my bench? The choice seems obvious. Next turn I can (hopefully) get an Empoleon, rare candy, attach a water energy and start sniping away. It really is that awesome!

For those who think not being able to attack after using call energy, I ask you this; if your starter could do no only it's basic 10 damage for one energy but also call for family for one colourless energy, which attack would you use first turn?

Call energy = win

most people are stating that there are no downsides to this card, but i'm having trouble getting past the turn ends part of the card.

maybe i just don't get it, but i'm going to stick to roseanne's research.

Well if you put it like that, but what if you're in a really bad jam? What if your bench is bare and you're on the brink on losing?

Great improvement of the start, can give any Pokémon a Call-for-Family attack, even if it's prevented from attacking normally. Most Pokémon don't need only typed energy so the colorless type is no problem in many decks.

Of course there are meta decks that take drawbacks from using Call Energy, Magmortar and Garchomp, just to mention two popular examples. But DRE and other great cards also can't be used by every deck.

HP-on modified: 10/10
DP-on modified: 10/10 (no change here in general, even if there will be some new archtypes like Kingdra that may have problems using Call Energy)
Limited: 10/10
Unlimited: 6/10 (setup isn't that imporatant and there are other possibilities)

It seems like a largely unrequired post, but very funny. Thank you for brightening up my day a little bit.
And technically, all cards are used as currency in trades.

hummm looking at this card i can see it to be very popular. It can give any pokemon the "call for family" attack to get more basics. The other pluses about this card is that it's not totaly useless since it can help provide an energy late game. It's effect dont' go away so if you need to get more basics later in the game you can still use the effect. The effect also dose not have to be used as well. Like most cards it is not for every deck. I can see this not be very usefull in a garchomp deck or any deck that requiers a basic energy to pay for all it's attack energy cost.
it get's a 9/10 because it's awsome card in almost every deck out there.
