Could Butterfree work with Chomp LvX?

I was reading through some of the cards in the binder and was looking at a failed card many tried to work out since it was feasible to possibly have a T1 Butterfree.

Butterfree on its own is weak and has its issues, but could it work with Chomp X.

This card has some potential in that it can Heal 30 of any one Pokemon but it's second attack is interesting in that it does 60 for :grass::grass::colorless and then a guranteed status (Sleep with heads and Poison for Tails.)

Mags will definitely eat this card, but the Free Retreat and guaranteed status may intice some players to attempt it as a Tech card... esp with Speed Tops showing up everywhere!

So what do you think.. Potential or just another sad bug on the windshield??

No, I cannot see why Chomp would make any difference. The whole Idea of Butterfree is to get a T1 30 and sweep out from there. Chomp just makes it slow, and Butterfree is bad in the first place.

Torterra MD is a better solution for taking out tops in my opinion.

Unfortuately, Garchomp doesn't like special energies. Not for Restore, not for rainbow scale. You lose rainbow scale either way, by using special energies shuts it off or by using grass basic, you can't use psychic and lightning as well for Rainbow Scale

It's quite clear that the most successful decks are the ones that can implement call energy and remain consistent, or have no other energy issues. In terms of rogue ideas, there's a lot of potential with Scizor and Shuckle right now maybe?
