Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Warning everyone please read TROJAN RS

Redshark is safe

As the author of Redshark, I guarantee that there are no viruses, trojan horses, spyware, or anything malicious included in the redshark program files included in the installer. For whatever reason, there does seem to be something in it that is sometimes incorrectly detected as some type of malware. There are viruses and such that can attack/invade existing exe files, but, again, I guarantee that the redshark program files are 100% safe as distributed.

Here's a link to a post from PB showing the official AVG response regarding an "infected" redshark.exe file: http://www.pokebeach.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=36103&pid=634231#pid634231

I just got my email today also stating False detection. its safe to run Red shark please under stand im not doing this to take a stab at your program I'm doing this to make sure im not destroying my computer.

I WILL TYPE IN CAPS, COPYPASTA A LARGE FILE AND BOLD ONE LINE, QUOTE WIKIPEDIA, AND ARGUE WITH SOMEONE WHO CLEARLY KNOWS MORE THAN ME. Why does no one believe me and switch to the program I like more? :(

first of all on apprentice vs redshark i like redshark more but im not going to run it if i dont feel safe doing so so thats not the thing here. I just want to know that the program im running is safe thats the reason i posted this here. I hate apprentice to be honest.

Bruggy - I understand completely, no offense taken. I just wanted concerned users to hear from me in an attempt to 'clear the air'.

Thanks for the Redshark compliments - enjoy the program!

to clear up apprentice was made for magic not poke
redshark was made for pokemon
why would anyone want to use a program not created for your game

I'm still very confused as to how i don't know what I'm talking about though. oh well i guess some people are a lost cause

do away with the crappy virus scanners out there and get AVG

most virus scanners report false info and then couldn't catch a cold if a real virus did pop up.

just a heads up guys. Im a Redshark beta tester. He gets with me to try new installers and ive installed all versions. So far no viruses have popped up.

If I paid more attention to the RS thread, I would of chimed in earlier. If you are worried about RS, please feel free to AIM me, email me, or pm me.

My AV has never seen RedShark as a virus but it does complain about executing stuff in the temp folder. Here is a sample message

Common Standard Protection:prevent common programs from running files from the Temp folder
Action blocked : Execute

I dont have a virus but my shark is messed up. One day, I play with shark fine, the next day, it says missing shortcut. I try to fix that by making sure the target is right, and it looks right. I have uninstalled it and reinstalled it 5 times.
anyone know what I can do?

I have fixed the problem, apparently, if you uninstall and reinstall 10 times, the power of the gods give in and let it work!
