OK so a bunch of friends and I got together in a chat and we were talking about what goes on. Someone mentioned something about the decks with the phrase *Article included* listed in them. I think something needs to be said.

Honestly, at first, I thought articles were pretty good/decent to look at since the best players did most of them, but now there's too many of them. Heck, even I've done an article myself in the past, and I have to admit that it wasn't that great at all. Some of them have incorrect matchups; some of them aren't too detailed, and the lack of spelling/grammar to it. It bothers me to see how many articles are there, and why aren't they good in the first place. Putting the words Article included on the title is pretty annoying. This is just my two cents on this.

Discuss if you may...
 
Everyone wants attention, that's just why they try to post elaborate articles that never make any sense. I guess putting more words down makes you a better writer =\
 
I did an experiment on another tcg site... with a deck and just put "article included" in it.. it got 4 pages lol
the deck was Xatu/Golduck.... = /
 
yeah, but diet coke is still diet coke even if they put a fancy wrapper on it. it is still lacking, even if someone makes a long explanation about it. and includes the words, "Article included".

True. Most posts (including some of mine :rolleyes:) are trying to get people in, and making the title inacurate.
I can understand some people putting stuff like that in to give others an idea of the deck, but they just aren't article quality (most aren't even "biased tidbit" quality :lol::lol::lol:).
 
They are sooo annoying!
Then when I look at the article, its nothing that a normal list should already have any ways, not any extra stuff.
Its really annoying to see every list in the deck help have "article included" on them. It also makes it look very cluttered.
 
the other thing that i've noticed in some 'gymers is the "a team stupid production" thing.

The only thing being produced is a stupid image for yourself.
 
I mean, half of the decks get to the amount of pages they do because people are complaining about how bad it is.. and they are arguing... and by getting more posts... people automatically think that your deck is good, when in reality, its mediocre at best.

Yes, exactly.

If your team's big article effort can be picked apart and proven incorrect within days, it's time to change the first post to "modz please delete."

There's a difrence between articles that you don't agree with, and articles that aren't articles at all. We're discusing the second one.

and that's what we call bashing Rambo, please don't do it. As for the whole Article Included thing, it bugs me as well, i just don't get why most people would do it

This is getting off topic. This is a discusion of the low quality *article included* lists, not "bash all team articles".

Can the mods keep an eye on this, please?

Actually, now that you've mentioned it, I too have stuff I'd like to say about that matter. You see, I may be on a team, but we don't go around posting decks saying "A Team Rocket Production". That is plain stupid. It's basically someone trying to make it so their team is better than everyone else, when all they're really doing is getting some attention.

Off topic, yes, but that's all I have to say about that.
