Getting your badge!

When do you get your badge for Origins? I have purchased mine, do I pick it up there or do they send it to you? I havent recieved mine yet, but I do have the recept for when I purchased it online in my E-mail.

I was told photo ID was necessary. If I, as a mother, ordered a badge for my child - do I need the photo ID, (easy), or does my child, (hard)? She doesn't have a school ID and is not of age for a drivers licence yet - so what to do?

Yeah, you will be fine with your ID. The first year that we went I took birth certificates and anything that I could think of and they never even asked for anything but the child's name. I'm sure that it helped that the child badge was purchased with Mom and Dad's badges (so 'attached'). I have always found the staff to be very friendly and understanding. Last year, my son was so excited that he forgot his badge on the last day. They could have forced us to return home (as they did an adult friend the previous day) but they understood that he was only 9 and so excited about everything that they just reprinted one for him free of charge. But this year, Mom is in charge of the badges when we leave that Convention Center!

Oh, and one note - in the previous years there has been a spot on the back of the child's badge to put a contact's phone number. Please do this as the Convention Center is very large and sometimes little ones get lost.

There is no " front door" there is a huge area at the bottom of the escalators between the hyatt and the ccg hall, in the loooog hall. Get there as early as possible, ie, as soon as you arrive. Wend. night is best, but if there are problems, the sooner you get there, the sonner you will have them solved.
good luck!
