Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Garchomp + Bronzong?

I was looking through my cards last night, trying to find things that would help accelerate Garchomp X's restore. I found Bronzong MT.

Lunatone and Solrock could be used with Garchomp but they take up 2 bench spaces, considering just how many decks run Dusknoir nowadays, it just seems like a bad idea. Especially when Restore puts a new pokemon onto your bench...which would be sent back to your deck by good old Dusknoir.
CORRECTED!

Anyway, Miracle oracle basically lets me draw a card then discard one. THEN if I discarded an energy, draw one more.

I haven't play tested this much yet, but it seems it to be more useful in a chomp deck than a Claydol.

Opinions?

I don't know why you wouldn't just play Delcatty.
Bronzong is only useful in a deck like Banette/Blissey (maybe) where you need to discard Energy and Pokemon.

Eh.
Garchomp X needs both energy AND pokemon discarded...

Delcatty is going out after the rotation, and I'm thinking about decks for next season.

As for Bronzong MD, that was another thing I was hoping to tech in.
Garchomp can't 1 hit everything, and the 10 that it can spread everywhere would definitely help.
Plus Cursed Alloy is pretty much amazing.

I tried Chomp with Bronzong back before SW was released. It worked pretty good. To bad Chomp Lv.X wasn't released back then, then I would have got to try it at a Tournament. I don't know how it would work now though. I played it with Luvdisc CG as starter, its second attack can really help Garchomp.

The potential for this deck lies in this season, IMO, as said before, teching in Bronzong MD and a scramble or two would be killer VS. G&G.

Yeah.
I tried running my deck with the Bronzong at my league today.
Eh didn't work well at all. I don't get anywhere near the draw power that I did with claydol, and I ended up discarding more energy than I needed for the 1 pokemon I was able to use Restore on.

I still have hopes of finding a way to fit in in my deck though.

that idea is freaky. If you want to use Bronzong's power, you have to have it active. It takes 3 energies to retreat. You could tech in a Moonlight Stadium, and if Garchomp X is ran, you could use techs like Mismagius, Gardevoir, and Gengar, so when a new Pokemon comes out for them, it already has some damage.

Bronzong MT, he said. You're thinking of the MD card.

Well, Bronzong MT is alright but, I see Chomp X being run like this...

Chomp Line
1-1 Gardy X SW
1 Gallade P7/SW
2 Bronzong MD
1 Dusknoir DP
1 Spiritomb DP6
1 Empoleon MD
1 Metagross DP6
1 Zapdos MD
2-2 Claydol GE
Pachy/Call energy GE/MD

You may call it techy but, it works. (Dusknoir up their Dusknoir)

Claydol kills bronzong.
However you can try something like porgon 2 and porgon Lv.X they help you to draw, but are quiet slow.

IMO claydol is the PLAY. Baltoy can be pretty useful too.

i did it even with delcatty, and that's beter. you can draw more cards, and have less retreat-cost. Okay, you can't discard pokemons, may if you play tv-reporter and/or felicity's drawing is it great, i play it and its good, here's a decklist:

2 chatot MD
3 skitty PK
2 delcatty PK
3 gible MT
2 gabite MT
3 garchomp MT
1 garchomp LV.X MD

4 prof. Rowan
3 felicity's drawing
3 bebe's search
2 premier ball
4 dusk ball
2 rare candy
2 night maintenance
2 energy search
4 drakes stadium
2 leftover

2 fire energy
2 leaf energy
2 water energy
2 thunder energy
2 psychic energy
2 fight energy
2 metal energy (basic)
2 dark energy (basic)

2 time chatot is not to less for starters, if you played skitty even like starter. then retreat, if you have a gible. if you have gible and skitty, may not a chatot, you can play gible, evolve it to garchomp (with rare candy, or gabite)and attach energy's so it can attack. on the same time, you build delcatty and a garchomp on your bench, and if your active garchomp is dead, you play garchomp lv. x, attach energy, and restore garchomp. then you swith the 2 garchomps, and you can kill the deffing pokémon. this combination is very quick, and strong. you have more place in this deck when you don't play swith and warp points, and this must by bronzong...

PS: if i make text-fouls, i sprake normal dutch, may i found this a greate site...

Have you playtested that?

There is no way that works. Way too many Stage 2s. You'd have to be Restoring from T1 to match their speed, and it's just not possible.

Also, I don't think that Delcatty is the play in Chomp. Maybe as a tech, but Felicity and TVR are good for discarding...
