i have this game for my SNES and still enjoy it to this day. it is just a great game, but Square is just great at.
i knew it was going to the VC in japan, but the US would be very nice.

another one i want to see come to the VC is Earthbound. it was rated by the ESRB but no other word yet.

Eventually it'll make its way to the states. Mario RPG is one of Squares golden age (Chrono Trigger, FF6, Secret of Mana), and will eventually get onto there.

If Earthbound makes it, then they better hurry up and get Mother 3 over here. Thats what I want most right now.

You do know that NoA sorta hates Earthbound?
Just because it's rated does not have to mean it will actually be coming to the VC.

And about Mother3/EB2, I'm am afraid that we will have to do with the translation patch from starment.net which is not that bad.
 
I can understand the reasoning, what with how much they had to censor from the japanese version, and looking at Mother 3 translations, they'd have to do it again.

And I do agree on the translation patch. Its just been taking a while is all.

I am looking forward to Mario RPG on the VC though.

Sum facts

NoA really does not want to know that it exist at all.
Starmen.net interviewed some big guy from NoA and that guy completeley did not want to talk about the Mother games. It's really funny how he thought that Earthbound had only 100-something fans seeing how big the site is.

And about the hellish translation, Mother 1, the Earthbound prequal, never made the cut. Yet, it has been FULLY translated. Weird huh?

Also, the translation of both Mother 1 and 2 has been done by a group of people with 4Kids motives.....

Anyways, I'm going off-topic so I'm quiting my rants about EB.
