I am not going to Nationals this year, so I chose to go to LCQ instead, plus I have loads of family in Florida.

Pokemon: 19
4 Empoleon MD
3 Prinplup DP
4 Piplup DP
2 Claydol GE
2 Baltoy GE
2 Omastar MD
2 Omanyte MD

Trainers: 27
4 Rare Candy
3 Helix Fossil
4 Team Galactic's Wager
2 Crystal Beach
3 Warp Point
2 Windstorm
1 Energy Switch
2 Roseanne's Research
4 Celio's Network
2 Night Maintenance

Energy: 14
4 Call Energy
2 Holon Energy WP
8 Water Energy

Strategy: Spread the damage with Dual Splash, getting knockouts all over the place. Omastar + TGW makes for crazy combo, devolving and shuffling, lowering HP and making them waste Rare Candies.

I chose to not use Scramble or DRE and put in Crystal Beach because, if what people on the Pokegym say is true, Dual Splash is the main move of Empoleon, so I would attach Call Energy T1, then Rare Candy into Empoleon T2, attach water, and Dual Splash, but if you are convincing, I could switch over to another method.

All suggestions appreciated!:thumb:

The LV X can also rip Claydol right off the bench, and Supreme Command can come in handy after an Omastar drop if you don't have TGW (and even if you do).

It's a tough call, but I prefer the consistency of 4 Empoleon. That way it's not a disaster if 2 are prized.

I don't think you need 3 Helix fossil, though, and there are better options than Energy Switch.

-1 Helix Fossil
-1 Energy Switch
-1 TGW
+1 Roseanne (useful as you only run 8 Basic Energy and no Pachi)
+2 Steven's Advice (you are short of draw power)

If you run the LV X, I would also drop a Warp Point for a Premier Ball.

What about the fact I am locking DRE/Scrambles? Normally, if i had 3 energy on my Empoleon, I would have 2 Waters and a WP/Call. The Lv. X would require me to have all 3 Water, which would be somewhat difficult.

-1 Warp Point
-1 Energy Switch
-2 Windstorm
-2 Crystal Beach
+3 Scramble
+2 Roseanne's
+1 Omastar PK

Omastar PK is really good IMO... it can help with Devolving, and when you can't get MD one, PK is still good.

3 Warp Point, however, is overkill IMO. You really only need 2, especially when you'll probally want to be spreading with Empoleon till it drops.

4 Roseanne's is very good. Seriously, Energy drought? Roseanne's. Need more Bench for Surf Together? Roseanne's. Easy and effective.

Windstorm isn't that good on the other hand. You don't play it except in a deck reliant on Powers/Bodies, and even then... if they have Cessation, you can just Surf Together them, KOing them, or just spread while they try to stop your Omastar, you KO them anyway. And, you have Warp Point.

Scramble is great in Empoleon. Trust me. It allows for the following scenario: You have an Energyless Piplup on the Bench, and a Candy, Empoleon, Scramble in hand. Your opponent doesn't know you have this. You Candy the Piplup to Empoleon, Scramble it, Surf Together or Dual Plash for the KO. It allows some quick comebacks from something like a 2 or even 3 Prize lead, too, so this definatly should be in here. Yes, Dual Splash is the main move, but you can still use Dual Splash with a Scramble attached.

Energy Switch? Really? I think Scramble is much better then Energy Switch... for the reasons I described above. Also, Energy Switch can move one Energy IF you draw into it and IF it isn't Prized... oh, yay. Move an Energy. That's going to win me so many games.

Crystal Beach had to go for Scramble. For the reasons I described in the Scramble paragraph, Scramble's better.

Hope I helped! And see you at the LCQ!

I agree with most of that, and I probably am gonna do most of that, except if I took out Windstorms AND my Counter-stadium, if they get out Crystal Beach, there is no possible way for me to get rid of it, therefore making my Scrambles you told me to put in worthless.

Well... for the Scramble persuasion, it's useful in the late game and if what you say is true... a scramble can be attached anyway to Emploeon e en if it doesn't get the ability and plus it'll be there for you to use if you ever need it, if you attach it to the bench and keep dual splashing, your opp. will think twice about knocking you active knowing you have scramble... It would be a nice tech if nothing else, when you don't have the Beach out... that's my opinion.

Cool Deck!

Beach isn't played that much. If you are really worried about it though, you could tech in a Windstorm. But I wouldn't though.
