Yeah, okay, I have heard enough about Vire being horrible due to it's :fighting: weakness. In the days of Gardelade, playing Vire has been a big no-no. But now things seem to be changing for the good with MD.

So here is a new idea that will hopefully blow new life into Electivire....for the 1 year before it get's rotated.

----------
Pokemon
----------
4 Eevee MD (Call 4 Family)
2 Leafeon MD (Leaf Guard)
2 Leafeon lv.X
1 Espeon
1 Umbreon
2 Elekid DP
3 Electabuzz SW
1 Vire DP
2 Vire SW
1 Vire lv.X
2-2 Claydol

Total 21

---------
Trainers
---------
4 Bebe's
4 Roseanne's
2 Warp Point } OR 4 Warp Points and 0 Energy Restore.
2 Energy Restore}
3 NM
3 Oaks
2 Premier Ball or 2 TSD or Dawn Stadium

Total: 22
-------
Energy
-------
9 :lightning
5 :grass:
3 Multi Energy

Total: 17

Strategy:
This deck hits hard. HOWEVER, you need to get Claydol ASAP since drawing cards is'nt the strongest point.
You can either attack with Leafeon or Vire DP. So set up whatever your opponent is playing. The chance is there with Multi energy. Even with only 1 Espeon and 1 Umbreon, Multi Energy let's you attack with them to! Also, when not playing against PLOX/Glaceon lv.X, the speed at which Energy's are attached/move around is insane. And let is just happen to be that the 2 heavy hitters do all the energy work themselfs!

Eevee MD #62
It Calls For Family. The fact that it specializes in filtering your deck for Eevee's without Call Energy is great. Plus, it saves you needing Call Energy in the first turn or using a Supporter/Trainer.

Leafeon MD #7
I think this might be the most preferred version.
It does decent damage. And the attacks have good effects.

Leafeon LV.X MD #99
This is a beast. 30 damage + 10 more for each Energy attached to all your Pokemon. If that was'nt enough, it also has the Poke-Power Energy Forcing. This Power let's you attach 1 more Energy from your hand to 1 of your Pokemon.

Espeon MD #18
It's Poke-Body Sunlight Veil gives every Eeveelution 20 more HP. This is more than just neat. It increases the chance that Leafeon can continiue to be a beast and wreak havoc. It's attack is'nt to shabby. 60 damage and allowes you to move an energy from Espeon to another.

Umbreon MD #32
It's Poke-Body Moonlight Veil helps all Eeveelutions out of tight spots. Removing weakness and reducing retreat to 0 is more than just helpfull. It also has an intresting attack. For 50 damage, it instantly Confuses without a single flip!

Elekid DP #48
It's sad, but it only has 1 reason in this deck. And that reason is to evolve into Vire DP asap!
However, if you happen to be stuck with him for some reason, it's free attack let's you atleast search your deck for a Basic :lightning energy.

Electabuzz DP #81
Not my favorite way to start since it has energy heavy attacks for a Basic with 70HP. Not much is really good about him but you need him for Vire so....

Electabuzz SW #87
This is the 1 I prefer. Has a Paralyzing attack for 1 energy, which is not bad for a Basic.

Electivire DP #3
The attacking Vire. With Elekid underneath you can use it's Poke-Power Intense Voltage. It let's you move :lightning energy from other Pokemon to Electivire. This works great with the Poke-Powers from Vire SW and Leafeon LV.X. It works even better with it's Giga Impact attack. It normaly does 60 damage. But if you attach a :grass: energy to cover it's :colorless attack cost, you can discard 3 :lightning energy and do 120 damage instead! Not bad huh?

Electivire SW #25
It makes up for it's horrible attack thorugh it's Poke-Power; Motor Drive. It let's you attach a :lightning from your Discard Pile to this Electivire. This is great to counter the huge energy loss that you will be facing when doing 120 damage every turn. NOTE: This 1 should stay on the Bench at ALL TIMES.

Electivire LV.X MT #121
You are going to tell a shocking tale with this one Active! It's Poke-Body Shocking Tail punishes your opponent from attaching energy from his/her hand by placing 2 damage counters on the Pokemon that gets the Energy attached. If that was'nt great enough, it also has a incredible attack. For 50 damage, Pulse Barrier let's you remove every Stadium and Tool your opponent has in play. If you do, you prevent all effects, including damage, done to Electivivre!

Claydol GE #15
What is there to say? It has a great Poke-Power. It's cosmic indeed, letting you refresh your hand in any way possible....but you must have less then 6 cards in your hand. Should not be a problem overall.

Premier Ball GE #101
This is THE card to play in a LV.X heavy deck. It let's you instantly search for a LV.X in your Deck or Discard Pile and put it into your hand! Not bad for a Trainer.

Time-Space Distortion MT #124
There is a reason why it's a secret Rare: It's close to broken. Ot's basicly the Energy Restore for Pokemon. Which is really not bad. It let's you choose any Pokemon from your Discard Pile and put it into your hand, Provided that you flipped heads ofcourse.

Dawn Stadium MD #79
Is a good support for Leafeon. Let's you remove 1 Damage Counter and all Special Conditions when you attach an energy to your :grass: or :water: Pokemon. This with Energy Forcing can be really neat.

Multi Energy MT #118
This is the Energy behind the 1-Timers. Since Claydol, Espeon and Umbreon require only specific energy. That is what makes Multi Energy so great. It's versitile in every way.

Don't play felicities because you don't need energy in the discard. Also play NM instead of TSD because electrivier are going to fall a lot so you are going to need the garenteed pokeon in the deck. Also you have no way to get energy back besides vire SW. Take out 1 warp point and the TSD for 3 NM. Felcities for oaks visit.

my friends were playing a deck almost exactly like this, except they were u sing the Electivire from SW
it was more based on Leafeon attacking, and getting the energy form the discard pile on the electivire attach for turn, leafeons power, and you're adding 30 damage a turn, and have a decent back-up attacker

anyway, i really dont think energy restore is necesary, and if this is DP on for next format, i suggest playing Energy patch in its place
and i also think you should play at least one electivire SW, it gets the eenrgy from the discard pile and then you can use DP Electivires body to move it up

Energy Patch?
Is that going to be a card in the next set?
And the Energy Restore realy are quite handy.
I mean, to have the chance to put up to 3 energy back into your hand +Leafeon's P-Power is really good.

I recommend put a rotom from majestic dawn in the place of the espeon, so that you can retrieve 2 basic energies from your discard with no energy cost. This will be useful with Electivires attack if you choose to do 120 damage.

So, with all the advice, it should be looking a bit like this:

----------
Pokemon
----------
4 Eevee MD (Call 4 Family) - No explaination needed
2 Leafeon MD - lv.X base and good attacks.
2 Leafeon lv.X - Energy bringer and great attacker
1 Espeon - Eeveelution tech
1 Umbreon - Eeveelution tech
2 Elekid DP - Only Vire DP needs Elekid and you can search for both Kid and Buzz with Roseanne!
3 Electabuzz SW - Solid starter and gives time to set up
1 Vire DP - get him on Elekid and start doing 120 damage in turn provided that you have set up
2 Vire SW - :lightning restorer. Should stay on the Bench
1 Vire lv.X - Usefull tech. Must be put on Vire DP to get fully used for it's P-Power.
2-2 Claydol - Do I even need to explain this?

Total 21

---------
Trainers
---------
4 Bebe's
4 Roseanne's
2 Warp Point
2 Energy Restore
3 NM
3 Oaks
2 Premier Ball or 2 TSD

Total: 22
-------
Energy
-------
9 :lightning
6 :grass:
2 Multi

Total: 17

I did not include Rotom because Vire DP can recharge up fast without it. I also wastes a turn and is just Prize fodder for your opponent.

I am still saving money to buy the 2 Leafeon lv.X since I'm not going to waste tons on the Booster packs. I only managed to get Glaceon lv.X out of a boosterbox.... Go figure.

I also just noticed how versitile this deck can be in terms of types. Though the main types are :grass: and :lightning, the Multi Energy give you the oppertunity to attack with the 1-timers;
Espeon, Umbreon and Claydol.

So okay, I just build the deck using 2 proxy's for the lv.X's.

And while building the deck, I noticed that I have 2 extra spaces left in my deck for Trainers.
Has anyone a suggestion as to what I could also include or something?

2 more Roseanne's for consistency. No other way to get basics out other than Bebe's and you want to use thoses for the evo's.

True, thanks for pointing that out.

Okay, I'm going to test this deck at my local league.
Though I will not know for myself how it playes against Archtypes since the league members are all between 6 and 12....
Try to find a challenge in that. :p

OMGBBQ, this thing's a beast!

There is only 1 guy at my league that plays with an Archtype deck. To make it more interesting: Magmortar.

I already tested the deck 1 time before playing against him, but I finished the game in 8 turns because my opponent did not have any Basics/Pokemon in play.

Highlights of the game Leavire (Premier Ball version)VS Magmortar:

-Started with 1 Buzz and 1 Leafeon LV.X , 1 :lightning Energy and 3 POV.
-Drawing for 3 turns plus POV's only 1 Pokemon: Eevee, which gets KO'd almost instantly.
-While getting sweeped by Mag LV.X, managed to get another Buzz and attach 1 to it.
-The unthinkable happened, got 9 turns in a row heads with Buzz's Thundershock attack!:cool::lol:
-My opponent wanting to test if the dice is'nt rigged and throws tails 6 times in a row concluding that he has really bad luck.
-9 turns well spend. Finnaly got my deck going and fully set up 1 Vire DP, 1 Vire SW, 1 Claydol, 1 Umbreon and 1 Leafeon.
-after playing for 40 minutes, He managed to get back his Mag that I KO'd with my Vire LV.X. This resulted in an epic battle for whom got his final prize first.
-Turning out into a battle of luck. He needed a :fire: energy and I needed a :grass: energy. Sadly, he Top Decked a Multi Energy and won.

For the first test run against an Archtype and Mag to boot, I am glad with the results.
The fact that it has an incredible speed and can hit HARD makes it have a good chance to become an Archtype.

Ofcourse, further testing is needed but you can test it yourself too ofcourse. Nothing like a first hand experience.

What is with this article fetish on the Deck Help Center people have all of a sudden? You do realize we HAVE a place to submit articles on the gym, right?

Drop the Oaks for Felecity, discarding energy then bieng able to get it back with Vire SW (since ourside of retreating and Vire DP, you have no methos of doing that).

Is this for next format? If not, drop the SW Buzz for DF ones, a little extra draw can work wonders if you need to get dol out or just need to get back a card you put on the bottom with dol (which we all do at some point or another).

...........did you even read the topic title?
Yes, it's DP on.

And what do I have to do with something that you don't get. Please, go complain elswhere.

Also, I just invented this deck and haven't been able to play it so much that I can rightfully put it in the Archtype & Standard Strat section.
