Sableye LV.31 – Darkness – HP60
Basic Pokemon

Poke-Body: Rashness
If this Pokemon is an Active Pokemon when the cards are flipped over at the beginning of the game, regardless of who won the coin toss, the owner of this card goes first. (This Body doesn’t work if the opponent’s Active Pokemon also has a Rashness Poke-Body.)

[.] Human Mimic: Search your deck for a Supporter card, discard it, and shuffle your deck. Then, use the effect of the discarded card as an effect of this attack.
[D] Overreach: 10 damage. If the Defending Pokemon’s remaining HP is less than Sableye’s remaining HP, this attack does 40 damage instead of 10.

Weakness: none
Resistance: Colorless (-20)
Retreat: 1

possible format breaker.

discuss.

edit: LOOKS LIKE I WAS RIGHT

If you were ever right about anything, Zach, you are right about this, dude! This card is Great. I have looked over all the cards in the set Last night, and this was Most definetly in My Top 5. Great card, it gives you that ability to use a Supporter going FIRST!!!

8/10 AT LEAST !!!

Well Driftblim is hot too ... but I agree that Sableye is amazing! It stood out to me as much or moreso than many of the attackers. The ONE downside I see is that it neither puts basics on your bench to be evolved the following turn (so no T2 claydol or whatever) nor evolves other benched pokemon like Phione (so again no T2). So it's just a hair slower than a good Patchi or Phione start but it's a lot more flexable than either of those two cards too.

i don't think it's amazing for the power. the attacks are amazing. you can just use your roseanne to get benched pokemon t1 then t2 use a celio or w/e to get an evolution OR hit them for 40 if you want to take that route. even if everyone runs sableye, they will be running other basics in their deck, so there's still a chance you can make the power useful.

Well, the Rashness is Good, but I just really like the Human Mimic, it changs the ability to contend T1!!! As far as getting everything set-up by getting some supporter help, you know!

Lol, that would be Painful! But I doubt you will see that much, unless the starting hand is Horrific!!!

Why would you NOT do it in many situations?

If your opponent starts with a single basic then TGW them, maybe get them down to 3 cards, then setup for game.

If you have a fast deck based on stage 1 or basic attackers while your opponent has a setup deck again why not?

My gut is that we will see this play a lot come winter cities.

I think you'll definitely see it more than you'll enjoy. To reduce somebody's starting hand to THREE CARDS before they even get the chance to go is just disgusting.

you mean cities

I have a question though. If both players have it as their starting basic, who goes first.

Someone might say flip a coin, but that would contradict both the pokebodies of both sabeley.

You do realize that Roseanne puts the basics/energy in your hand. Since your using an attack to copy roseanne, you don't actually get to put the basics on the bench until your next turn.

If Holon Mentor was still in the format, I could see this card being of more use, but DP-on, there isn't that much of an advantage of using a supporter T1 (and ending your turn afterwards), other than getting an evolution or energy for T2.

edit: T1 TGW is pretty devastating.

you're right this card sucks.

ANYWAYS drifblim is cool too, other than that it's a stage 1.
