Hello everyone....

I would personally like to invite you all to attend the Lafonte Open 2 !!! THIS IS AN OPEN EVENT FOR ALL TO ATTEND!!! NOT JUST LAFONTE MEMBERS!!!

We will be hosting a Modified tournement for anyone and everyone who can make it. Check the details below to see if you have what it takes. This will be an excellent oppritunity for you to practice with some of the worlds best players. Shapen your skills for the Grinder or the main event!!!

Prizes....
Based on number of people Majestic Dawn boosters and other Pokemon memorabilia.

As you can see we are starting the Saturday event at 6pm. Therefore we ask that players be over the age of 16 unless accompanied by a parent or adult due to the time the event will likely be ending. This will not be an age seperated event.

The Sunday event will be age seperated for all age groups to attend.

Jason K. will be organizing a softball game in a nearby park. at 12 pm Saturday, July 19th (Weather permitting). It should be a blast.

We will also be having the "Curse Bucket BBQ" at 2pm. So lunch will be provided on Sunday.....

We have the commitment of many from the Lafonte nation to come in and support this. It should be a great event with many familiar names... Where better to practice for Worlds, than with the best competition in the World!

i'll be there and hopefully slowdeck will be able to come i'll ask him at league.
ps. to any one thinking of atending DO IT it is fun and tough, lots of good players.
 
Put one in the middle of August, Jimmy! I'll be there for at least 2-3 of those weekends!
 
:/ Too close after nats. I'd love to come butcan't. Sorry. Money, especially with current gas prices, is tight.

I can't make it - long drive from Colorado, but it sounds like it will be a blast.
 
Tell Ness that I'll be at the store at 11. Could you guys lmk where the park is? It'd be nice to see some of you guys outside of the arena!
 
I have no idea on the first day, I was so far down the bracket that not even an anchor chain could have gotten me back up...
 
will this be sanctoned? The only reason I ask is because of players who are currently banned(like myself) that may wish to play.

Zong/Zap/Star is old and has been around since Spring BR. If flips go your away it certainly is a powerful deck. Regardless, I don't believe it to be a contender in a larger scale tournament because your luck will run out.

I agree. For you to just make T2 in worlds you would have to have luck for about 7 swiss rounds, T32, T16, T8, T4. I just don't think you can be that lucky for the whole tournament. That is just me. I guess you could, but I am not sure it is very likely. I think it would be better to play a deck that is a bit more consistant.
