Luxury Ball...ZOMG...Celio as a TRAINER!!!

I was looking through some of the IFDS scans on a certain site and I came across this card and was like OMG!!! THIS IS LIKE A TRAINER CELIO!!! It reads, "Search your deck for a pokemon (excluding LV X)". Even in decks that run lv X's, I think that I would personally play 4 of these. If you need to get the lv x out, play premier ball. It seems like a GREAT card that will see a lot of play from the time it comes out til the time it get's rotated. Discuss.

EDIT: My bad. There is a drawback. You can't play Luxury Ball if you already have one in your discard pile. Sorry.

I believe the card also states that PB wont work if there is a PB in your discard pile. So, it works 1 time.

I'd love to see more of these *-type trainers. Time-Space Distortion should had been like this too, but you didn't have to flip. Why can't TPC take rare trainers in the cartoon and make them into like *-like trainers in the card game? That would be SWEET!

Yeah, this will be a staple in every deck imho. But it's a cheap staple, since it's not ultra rare or anything.

I would run 2-3 of these in most decks, maybe even 4. EVERY deck should have at least 2. I see some people saying only run 1 because you can only use 1, even though most people play 4 let's say Bebe or Candy, when they most often don't intent to actually use 4. Applying this logic, running anything less than 2 doesn't make sense. Amazing card, probably gonna be a very expensive card.

This effect should have been what Master Ball did all along! To make it more like the actual balls. Then maybe make an Ultra Ball that finds only Stage 2s or something.

I would never run more than 2 of this card because the second you play one, all the rest are useless. Useless cards in the deck don't help you win. Bebe's/Rare Candies can always be used later on if you need to.

Prime, you sexy beast, what if that 1 is prized?? 2 is ok but don't foget you will be using more discard stuff like Felicity's and others so unwanted cards can always be tossed, that is what happens to tech lines in other games!

3 at max but I agree 4 might be a bit much!

<3 you Prime!!

2 would be more than enough, and if you have 2 of them, you could always discard one of them with cards like felecity's.

Non-supporter search is just too good to worry about having a couple of useless ones later on. I don't think some people realise just HOW good this is. You can play it even AFTER a draw supporter, massively increasing the chances of getting a T2 Stage 2/Candy etc, whatever you're wanting to get.

No, one copy is enough. If you play two or more, you'll have completely dead cards in lategame for sure. Bebe does the same if you really need it except that you can't play if you got it with a draw supporter.

But the main point is, most times you need every slot of space in your deck. With no DRE etc, every deck needing more than two energy for the hitters have to run more energy cards than before. You have to run Warp Points because of Gliscor and Magnezone, and you have to run coutnergyms again because of Dusknoir and Miasma Valley. If you want consistancy, Claydol and 4x Pokédraw+ are the play.

In case you play some T2 deck like Scizor etc and have a lot of space, of course you should play more than one Luxury Ball, but in most of the other decks, there are better options to use the space that won't give you dead cards for sure.

Yesss. I get to run a 5th pokemon searcher. Goodbye Celio, but hello Luxury Ball.
This also combos well with Marleys, if your opponent picks the ball, which is probably not likely.

Why? That simply makes Marley's an unreliable celio's network. I'm thinking of running 3 in my decks, only 2 if I play fewer supporters.

Wouldn't Marley be better if you run more Trainers? I mean, if you get back a supporter, it can't be played until the following turn. A Supporter that gets you 1 Supporter? Not too helpful for a Supporter IMO. Like a bad Scott.

Marley is just an awful card, only useful for Sableye as a 5th wager/bebe's/etc. e.g. Sableye versus Sableye you keep wagering each other's supporter away.

I meant Luxury Ball in my decks.

lol...

Oh, that's what you meant. 3 Luxury Ball? I'd hate to draw into the other 2. 1 would be fine for me, with 4 Bebe. It's just extra, in my opinion. A "luxury" so to speak. Ho-ho-ho...

Why would you ever play more than 1? If it's prized, oh well. That's like saying all tech lines should be 2-2 or higher because a piece of it could be prized.
