It Is Fast

Ah, finally the thread for the much-hyped kingdra. I cant wait to test this baby out. Is it fast? is it as lame as others had said? I will find out very soon...

Isnt 1-0-1 gardy a bit too risky? U might not get it every time.

Gardy is very risky, same with Alakzam, but the mini lock feature realy wins matchups immensly, in away ure opponents do u favours to use powers

Although, If you Want to add more speed i would Take out 1-1 Gardy and put in something like a pokeblower or pokeradar or something like that

Its really up to u to test around.

I also thaught it was over hyped, but was i wrong, Its very consistant and without gardy it may be that bit less consistant, but if u can find something to replace it it would still be decent.

Thanks

-2 Psychic
-2 Call
+4 Buck's
-2 TGW
-2 TS1
+4 Pluspower

Always need ways to increase damage.

1 NM? I play 3 and use all of them a lot. I would take out the call energy and max out the roseannes count and also 1 more NM. Also since gardy isn't that much of a main attacker you could take out a Psychic and add in a multi.

Also the luxray matchup is 60-40 in kingdras favor. Kingdra can do consistent damage while luxray has trouble doing consitent knockouts.

Also mind if I try this. I'm planning on playing kingdra in a different way using it's second attack more.

I doubt you'll ever really draw into that lone TM when it would be of any use, and this deck is already supposed to be so fast that using up an attack to evolve something other than on, say, turn 1 is not usually going to be the best move. I think you should drop it for a 3rd Wager. I really think it and Power Cancel are what make this deck potentially deadly. Kingdra's speed just seals the deal.

Ok thats Very True.

I Was Thinking either that or another Warp point. but thanks anyways.

I will make the fixes

-1 TM1
- 1 Warp Point ( Me retreating is helpful to a huge aqua stream)

+1 Water Energy
+1 Wager

No use psyquic energys,no atack with gardevoir

-2 psyquic energys
+2 warp point

and teste:-1ralts -1gardevoir and add +2regice{it's good teste}

I'm loving the list dude. I would'nt play 18 water tho or alakazam. I like the gardy tech being able to use supporters to help draw and discard maybe a chatot just in case? or metagross from LA? also you need warp points to help you with the leafeon X match up. Good luck with the deck.

You Have Raised some points there.

Warp point, why warp when you can retreat to get energies in the discard, i know though i should put 2 in,

Alakazm is a beast, locking them from cosmic powering and discard, thats a dreeam

Chatot or metagross im not sure

thanks for all the nice comments to :)

Well warp point is for the leafeon match up. beucase Leafeon X is gonna be the only thing that can power up pokemon fast and with resistance and leaf gaurd you would be only landing 20 damage so you warp it (or if you have metagross then you can reversal it) and start to snipe it on the bench. I need to test alakazam still but once I do I will report back. btw thansk for the idea.

have you tried lunatone/solrock in here? luna discard a water energy and draw yourself 1? here's my list for Kingdra...

Pokemon: 21

4-3-4 Kingdra

4 Chatot

2 Lunatone
2 Solrock

1-0-1 Alakazam

Energy: 16

4 Call
12 Water

Trainers: 23

4 Rare Candy
4 Felicity's
3 Roseanne's
2 Warp Point
2 Night Maintenance
4 Bebe's
2 Cynthia's Plan
2 Pokeradar

True, the Leafeon match-up is hard.

You might want something in here to counter vs. MagneVire because it will give you quite a hard time as well, not as hard as Leafeon, but the match-up will be tough.

You might want more than 2 Psy energy for the Gardevoir depending on how many Mr.Mime MT you end up playing against, as those will give you a hard time too unless you use Alakazam or Gardevoir to attack it.

very simalar to my list, but i dont run gardy. and i run a 3-3 claydol with phiones, sets up consistantly t2 with 2 kingdras and a claydol. i like the idea with gardy though, i think it will help you a lot.

The Problem with Lunalock is that Empoleon Kills It in 2 turns, in effect thats prize candy. I put in a 3rd night maintanence and i found space for 2 warp points to help me when Mime mt is in games. Thanks so far, please keep the help coming

Hello,
i play a Kingdra too. I dont know why you play 5 NM, but 2 are enough. In my opinion Plus Power is needed, Its useful against armaldo and basic pokemon with 70 hp like pachirisu, stantler etc. Furthermore Regice is a good card. It allows you to discard 2 cards.
