Well, not all hope is lost! I was reading on the Guitar Hero Forums, and they were talking about that list. They were saying how Activision Confirmed GH3's list leak was fake, and it turned out to be true. So maybe they're trying to cover their butts again.

I totally agree, I was a fan of Dragonforce before they became really popular with GH3. Now I know how it feels to be a fan bfore a band becomes popular and then no one cares.

I hope the set list is decent but I mean really the thing that I am interested in is the making your own music.

Exactly. If you can make your own music, that means you can make up for the suck in the set list. Pure Genius!

I wonder what new feature(s) the new Guitar will have.

I'm not going to like making my own music, I'll be too lazy to do it and can't share it with others...

seriously, dragonforce is horrible. they have the worst live performances i've ever seen in my life.

it has touch screen "solo buttons".

DragonForce does NOT suck, so what if their live performances suck, their music is amazing. Their live performances suck, but in general they don't.

and what are you talking about with "touch screen solo buttons"
 
Yes, DragonForce is good, but they aren't nearly as good as everyone makes them out to be.
They can play fast.

Compare their guitarist to the likes of Yngwie Malmstien, Rusty Cooley, Steeve Vai, Michael Angelo Batio, Kirk Hammet, Jimmy Hendrix, John Petrucci, among many, many other Guitarists, and it makes theirs look mediocre at best.
My 16 year old friend can play any of DragonForces songs, you just have to be able to play fast and keep the rhythm.

So, from what I've heard this game is coming out this year, somewhere around October/early November.
Anyone know if thats true?

Agreed with the Dragonforce statements. I've got a friend who hadn't been playing Guitar long, yet he coud play Dragonforce without much of a problem. If anyone actually took the time to look up the tabs for Dragonforce...they'd probably laugh. Guitarists like Gary Moore, or Thomas Youngblood (Kamelot guitarist) would kill Dragonforce any day. Not to mention, a lot of the Death Metal guitarists out there like Chuck Schuldiner of Death would destroy Dragonforce's guitarists.

Seems to be a pretty good game though, but there's a new controller? Ugh...that's wonderful. -_-

Yeah. I pretty much agree here. I haven't looked up any tabs though.

See that link, that's what I meant by Touch Screen Solo Buttons =). It was in the xBox magazine.

I kinda want some boxers with Master Cheif on them, then they'd be "xBoxers".
 
Well you can say its touch screen but thats a little too simple.
The frets by the neck of the guitar controller are actually "heat seeking" which means they aren't "button frets" like the RB guitar controller. Instead the guitar controller can "feel" your fingers on the frets via your body heat. If you ask me that's an awesome new feature Activision came up with.

If you accidentally touch the wrong one, will it count as a missed note, or do you have to strum for these also?

Do you use both the "button frets" and those frets at the same time, or do you have to chose between the Bottom or Top of the Neck like on RB?

And what if they don't cool off fast enough and still think you're holding one when you actually let go? That would really mess you up, huh?

If you can't play live what is the point of being a band? I like their music in all honesty, but that horrible sound that comes from their live performances, I could live without. That just kinda makes me look down on them I guess. But as I said, it's one up on Lip Syncing.

1. Well its just like normal Guitar Hero if you touch the wrong note you get a miss.

2. Lol, if use both then what will you strum with..? and yea its like rock band.

3. The technology in the frets is a little more advanced than that, like stated above its like the DS's touch screen it only works when your fingers are against it, in other words don't worry as soon as you move your finger off it will "cool down"
 
Pressure sensitive, probably. Heat sensitive just seems weird for something being touched all the time...
