Just check out Pokebeach for the info. I am excited as it is actually feasible that I will be able to go since I live in Los Angeles. I already want to make travel arrangements. Thoughts?

I think worlds should be in Europe once, it would be so many more europeans at grinder then.
But i think its very difficult to arrange worlds in Europe, PUI would have to move or something.

I don'rt find it fair that they have worlds in california twice in the 4 year span when the North East has never has a worlds. Sure we have Nats but we won't even have that next year

That's awful. I don't get why they don't have Worlds in a city in the midwest, so everybody is about the same distance away. I mean, honestly, who the heck is going to go to Hawaii for the LCQ? Blow oodles of money on air fair, and then not even make it to worlds? Sure, it's nice for all the people who already have a paid invite to hold it in a warm, tropical resort town, but sometimes they need to consider the rest of us.

Source? I've heard nothing about this!

Quit yer bloody whining and think of the Europeans/Japanese players for a change.

I think they pick the west coast because it is where all of the largest tournaments are. I have seen reports of tournaments in various regions of the US where you get maybe thirty people showing up for a States/Regionals. Our California States had over 200 competitors show up with 110+ Masters, many of them being top competitors in the world. Our two Regionals easily had over 100 each. Our Battle Roads usually get 40 people or more. All in all, there is no where else that has quite a large competitive player base. I do feel for the Europeans though. I could barely convince my parents to take me out of LA for a tournament, much internationally.

Texas Regionals had 305.

Im American and even I think Worlds should be held in another country. I mean after all it is the WORLD Champion not BIG CHAMPION IN USA WITH INTERNATIONAL COMPETITORS

That would be quite an undertaking. Before that would happen, I would expect PUI would hold worlds in a US city like Chicago, New York, Boston, etc. as a precursor.

I agree even if it's only from a fairness point of view.
San Diego is a terrible choice

This sucks again....

Why can't the north east get a chance to hold worlds? >_>

Ohhh I think I can guess the next worlds location after CA.... FL anyone?

Can we please give another state a chance to host worlds?

FYI to all those who say it should be in another country, please realize that the USA has the most players, and also has TONS of great locations for worlds.

Worlds in San Diego? Yahoo!!!

I for one, am glad it's in San Diego! Heck they have the Comic-con, and now this! I live in the inland empire areo of Ca., so this is an easy drive for me, I could make a nice weekend of it for the whole family!

Re:having it in other countries: sure that would be cool, but like was said earlier, if it was held in somewhere like china (Where most of those fake cards come from), who says they'll follow the rules, and even use the legitimate cards?

Europe or Japan would be the place to do it out of the U.S., IMO

Wow, I live in San Diego, I could just walk down the street to worlds, After since I heard it was going to be in my city, I couldn't stop jumping around. This is awesome!

I think how the worlds is going to work like how POP did only Anehiem,Honolulu,Orlando,FL, and San Diego,CA.
if lucky, the locations can change, but such a small chance =/
