Darkrai Lv. X

When will this card see more play? I want to build a deck with him as the attacker. He needs some better support.

Maybe with Blissey and Weavile? Of course the focus would be more on the Bliss than the Darkrai, but it's still a good backup attacker in the deck and weavile loads it fast if needed.

Snowpoint is your support. I think the main problem with Darkrai Lv. X as a main attacker is that it's so easy to KO. And that fighting weakness, with Gallade running around? Forget it. Now the situation will be a bit better, but even with Snowpoint, it'll still probably be too frail.

I have had a lot of fun with a Darkrai/Pidgeot Deck. A Weavile start is essential. Darkrai is not a front line attacker but I must say Endless Darkness is a fantastic attack that is very hard to deal with.

Need to run 2 LvX and Claydol.

Right now I am trying Blissey and it definetly sets up faster, but you need some swirches and warp points. Pidgeot has a free retreat. It doesn't take much to do 70 to 90 dmg...with Weaviles and Darkria's poke powers.

I'm working on a deck with him and Tyranitar IFDS right now. Right now it's in it's very beginning stages but it seems like it's got promise.

gotta worry about that fighting weakness. even if GG takes a step back, expect to see gliscor all over the place. therefore i would say that bubble coat and probably snowpoint temple are essentials in a darkrai deck.

Also with that, when IFDS sets come rolling by, once Machamp hits play be sure to watch out for them too. Nothing more annoying than using 1 energy to OHKO your darkrai.

I have used a succesful deck with Darkrai in it.

3 darkrais 1 Darkrai LV X
3 sneasels 3 weaviles
4 murkrow 3 honchkrow 1 honchkrow LV X
3 Baltoy 3 Claydol

throw in some premier balls and bebes search. You can put in celios but he'll be out soon. Plenty of dark energys. Some switchs as well.

This deck really works because if any fighting comes out. And lets face it the only fighting being played is Lucario LV X then you play out honchkrow who has got the resistance. The claydols are really just for getting the LV X's and energy and weavile can power up honchkrow and darkrai so they are ready to go. The thing I also love in this deck is that if your honchkrow is getting hurt you can retreat him for nothing and play out a murkrow with nothing on it and it can use honchkrow's attacks. Darkrai can use its pokebody to boost honchkrows attacks and can scare your opponents with its endless darkness. premier ball is if you need a LV X quickly or if you just got knocked out and you play up the same powered pokemon then you can get the LV X out of the discard pile.

hope this helps ( its a great deck if you play it right!!!!!)

darkness 4ever!!

And lets face it the only fighting being played is Lucario LV X

GG says hi, it can OHKO darkrai without flipping any prizes and flipping 4 to OHKO your single honchkrow X.

Sorry to say as much as I want to try darkrai, until GG play goes down (which is slim) darkrai will get demolished.

but honchkrow LV X is resistant to fighting and if you want to keep him safe you can send out a murkrow and use honchkrows attacks using honchkrows pokebody then you can also use weavile to power up honchkrow and then use darkrai LV X poke body to up his attack with each dark energy.

OOHHH rinsed!!

Darkrai will NEVER be more then a good Tech in the current metagame. Even with Snow Point Temple, any Figthing type that has an 60 damage attack KO's it like nothing.

I like him as a great tech in my funny VileKiss deck.
It uses Togekiss as attacker. With Darkrai's 1 Retreat Cost, I can keep him out of harms way while dealing heavy damage with Kiss byDark Engage-ing him with Weavile.

While that is a really good tactic, I have huge trainer card problems and thus is far from perfection.

But if you play honchkrow LV. X it is resistance to fighting and you can use weavile to power it up and then use darkrai LV. X to make each dark energy 10 more and if you want to keep honchkrow safe just use murkrow to do damage using honchkrows attacks

And it, again, keeps being a Tech to increase others damage output....:nonono:

but then honchkrow comes out with plenty of energy and starts killin evry1 darkai lv. X just sits there with his pokebody
i no he's a tech but he has low HP

100HP ain't that low since only Mag LV.X can KO it in 1 turn. It also still gets a boost from Snow Point Temple!

All in all, we just keep confirming that even with Snow Point Temple, it's just a free Prize for everything that can KO it in 1 hit. Making it/Reducing it to a great Tech that boosts damage output.

>_< I think I was not specific or clear enough.

What I mean with Tech is, that it should stay on the Bench because it's so frail when Active against a Fighting type Pokemon. It eats Gardy but gets eaten instead by Gallade.
