Suggestion for DP packs to buy

I just restarted playing today and I only really have cards from the diamond and pearl set that is in rotation. I can get 45 packs for dirt cheap of any combination of released D&P sets exclusing Legends Awakened. I want to get some packs of the set claydon is in hopefully to get some of them, but I am mostly wondered which set has the mose useful cards to trade off for stuff I need?

Claydol (as well as Pachirisu, Felicity's Drawing, and many other good cards) are in Great Encounters. Other good trade-bait sets include Majestic Dawn (Empoleon, Garchomp Lvl. X, Holo Phione, etc.), Secret Wonders (Gallade, Gardy/Gardy Lvl. X, and Roseanne's Research), and Legends Awakened (Uxie/Mesprit/Azelf Lvl. X, Kingdra, Froslass, Buck's Training, and a ton of Legendaries).

if u are a kid, id ask ur parents for money, get tons of packs and sell on ebay or something, btw, what dollar store location has them and what state

Lol, kid? look in my profile. Also it's in Canada and I hopefully will clean the place out for their packs.

I also agree with marill95 on the pack combo...

EDIT: also, taxes will prevent you from buying more than 39 packs...

I've already added in taxes, I have extra not just $45. Plus if I wanted my friend works there, she can get employee discount so there really isn't tax.
 
Unless your friend has thoroughly read the how-to-spot-a-fake thread here, I would buy 1 pack and carefully examine the contents before stocking up. Dollar stores sell cheap but buy cheaper, and no supplier would be "giving away" recent sets so soon.

Is it a chain store? Some of us might want to check in our locale, if the cards are real ;)
 
You could buy 1 pack and check is they're fake or not(read the anatomy of a fake card befre you do), cause they seem to be too cheap.But you'd better buy cards from somewhere where they are 100% real.
 
If you confirm the cards as real you really ought to go ahead and start buying/selling on eBay. With undercut prices like that you could make a lot of money really fast. But seriously, check the 'anatomy of a fake card' thread carefully first. If they're seroisly $1 each you ought to just buy all of them and resale on eBay for $2 each b/c thats cheaper than most people sell packs on there.

100% return on an investment is good in ANY industry!!

Just be 100% sure your cards are real or you'll be getting 100% negative feedback ;)
 
I'm going to head over and check if they are real or not in a couple days. My friend doesn't really notice if they are fake unless they are obviously fake.
 
dollar store cards are going to be FAKE, no doubt about it.

no legit packs in rotation are going to be that cheap. don't waste your money.

I bought completely legit brand new Neo Discovery packs (back in the day) from a Walgreens in Illinois for around 35 cents a pack (they had 12).

So while it's UNLIKELY they are real, it's not IMPOSSIBLE.
 
Great Encounters offer the most in-demand cards by far.

Secret Wonders have some nice cards. I would focus on those two sets unless your after a specific card.
