Polideck just got a little better...

I was looking at scans just now, and I realized that Politoed only increases damage to the Defending Pokemon, not all damage. If this translation goes unchanged, that means Poliwrath's Submission does 150 for 3, and only 20 to himself. You know, on top of 120 for 1 and all that jazz.

Does this make the deck more playable?

That all depends on what cards you put it with.

But if that will be when it comes out, I would not be surprised if people will try to make Poli-based decks.

yeah but AMU isn't an amazing deck in the first place... poli doesn't work. I have to almost say I wish it did, buuut it doesn't

I mean you would have to play TM1+Call+Ball Engine+Poke Radar+Pokedex+Candys. Its base off speed I would do

4 Poliwag
3 Poliwhirl
2 Poliwrath
2 Politoed
2 Claydol
2 Baltoy

Ball Engine
PokeRadar
TM1
Pokedex
Warps

4 Call
Water

basicially its about Poliwrath doing 150 for 30 and 120 for 1,also Politoed is a solid attacker with being able to do 80 for 2.

Poliwrath is more than excellent in his own right. 60 for 1, just like Kingdra. He holds a momentum all his own. Politoed...he's just a bonus.

HOW DOES IT DO 120 FOR 1?

I thought it only did 90 for 1, and you needed Politoed for it.

ya, The Supes is right. i was looking at this around nats, but it is way to slow. i took something that is a lot quicker, and has so decent damage.

Again, Politoed is JUST a BONUS. Poliwrath is a good attacker on his own.

Also, Poli doesn't have have a horrible [R] weakness like Beedrill, and he has more HP.

lolganium. I think we're destined to argue forever

Call/Roseanne's says it isn't hard. And Call/ Roseanne's is always right.

Yeah that's the way I've been looking at the deck ever since Hatter posted his list. Poliwrath is a very efficient attacker, and Politoed should just be looked at as a late-game trick and/or tech. I'd be inclined to play a 4-3-4/1 line because Wrath is that good, and in multiples, juggling Focus Punch is killer.

Way easier to setup than AMU imho.
Yes, getting basic pokemon out and X them, when two of them have powers to either draw cards or nab pokemon, is defintely harder to get out then 2 stage 2, a stage 1, and a basic from teh same line that you can run only 4 of....*nods*

^it takes less time and you don't need it to win though, that's the whole point.
Doing what I said above takes a turn. Basic fairy active...level up. :/ Not hard. Unless your trying to say that AMU's goal is t2 god blast, which is just lol. And wrath is okay, but he's definately ont good enough to win. 60 for 1 is hot, but when will that happen besides from a fresh one? And 90 for 3 is becoming far more common, and 20 less hp is not a good idea (espically since that easily puts him into OHKO range).

Someone please tell me what you do when one of your pokemon is KO'd? Cry?? lol

This is not like AMU where you can just bring out another and Lv it up. You lose a WHOLE evo that took TURNS to set up. :/

Most decks its hard enough to make sure you have 1 st 2 out fast enough, but 2 and a stage 1 AND a basic?? Seems like this deck is just asking for consistency problems.

Have Redshark or Apprentice? I'm dying to prove you wrong.

OK, let's look at it like this.

I have Enthusiasm set up with Poliwrath active.

Let's say you Supreme Blast it.

I can do a couple things:
-I send out Poliwag. Attach Fighting. TSD/Bebe's for Poliwrath, then Rare Candy, find another Poliwag, Focus Punch for KO.
-I send out Poliwhirl. Attach Fighting. TSD/Bebe's for Poliwrath and evolve, find another Poliwhirl and evolve benched Poliwag, Focus Punch for KO.

Not to mention if I had to use Azelf to find a Poliwag, I'll have bait while I get Enthusiasm set up again.

That doesn't sound that hard, does it? Besides, I'm working on a build focused on juggling Focus Punches early game, so Enthusiasm is something I won't be doing until late game.
