Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Worlds Deck for Sale

Hey everyone. I'm going to make my first post on this board in like 4 years to let you know that I have put my winning worlds deck up for sale on ebay.

I was fortunate enough to win another scholarship & valuable cards in prizes, so I figured I could afford to donate my deck. My friends & I discussed some charities we could donate the money to, but ultimately we decided rather than donate the money to a charity, I'd try to give the money back to the Pokemon community. One of the cool things about the Pokemon TCG is its a smaller, more intimate group than other games that stretch worldwide; everybody seems to know everybody.

I always get a kick out of watching how excited younger kids get when I sit down with them and teach them how to play, or give them some advice, so I decided I would use the money to take a trip out to whatever one Pokemon League or group of Pokemon players convinces me they want me there. I don't care where it's at, if you're convincing, I'll fly out to wherever your group of players meets sometime this Fall and play Pokemon & teach strategies to all the younger players for a day.

Here's the link to the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/POKEMON-TCG-WOR...oryZ2608QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

And if anyone is interested in having me visit their league & play Pokemon for a day with your group, you can send me a PM. I haven't received any messages yet, so feel free. My closest friends & I will go through the messages and pick the one town we think is most deserving.

Thanks to everyone who congratulated me on my Worlds win!

Way to go, thinking of kids is an amazing way to get the game going! Just one question, If I win this - will you come over to Australia? lol.....

This is one of the few reasons I think you are the most deserving WC yet. Look at Jeremy's and Tom Roos's stack of what they give back to the game, and then look at Jason and Yamato. Pretty awesome and self-less act Jason, I'm a bigger fan now.

I have not ruled out going overseas. I will have to get a passport, though, and I know that can take a few months.

What a neat idea. And congrats for winning!

PS-You can make it even more exciting by signing the energies and low value cards.

Edit: vI saw it too, but I thought it might have been a hoax.

This is big! Good luck. I really think this can do some good to help the game grow. There aren't that many celebrities in Pokémon (as far as newer players are concerned), but everyone would like to meet a world champion.

Major props to you for doing this, Jason. I guess maybe I was wrong about Lafonte after all.

I really hope you raise alot of money now that i actually read your post. I love to give something back to players and fans of pokémon however I just don't have the money to travel from place to place. So I hope you make a nice pot as what you get, we will get.

Ness, wherever you go, they will love you for it.

major props to you giving back to the community!!!

Just reminding you guys that if you are at all interested in having Jason come down to your league, doesn't matter if you are a league leader or just a player, make sure you send him a message! Give a little story about your league, the kinds of players there, anything like that to help him choose which to visit.

There are two great opportunities here - you could be the winner of the championship winning deck or you could be the lucky league or group of players that has the world champion come out for a day. Heck, you could be both! So make sure you guys get your bids in for the deck and send a message about why he should come to your league.

I would also like to commend Jason for this, although its not the first time he has given back to the Pokemon community, it is great to see him continue his reputation. There were a number of things we talked about what he could do, but it seemed we both agreed that giving back to the Pokemon community would be a great idea. I hope whoever wins has a good time with this!

Have fun, where ever you go. :3

Maybe it'll be fun to see a different Metagame once in a while.

This is a treu example of an ambasador to this game and a true player in every way. Greta job ness for doing this and i hope whoever you go to help is the future of this game. I'm happy a world champ is doing this and helping promote this game.

It is nice to see our World Champ giving back like this. Vince still brags on ya from the Regional where you and your GF led the younsters outside for kickball and other fun and games.
