Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

The Quickets Deck I've Ever Played! Can He Work In This Format?

Im thinking Luxray will be a little more prominant. OHKO's Kingdra, any Pixie, any LvX but Rhyperior or Torterra, and its Consistant Turn 2.

for beedrill to be effective, you have to set up 3-4 stage 2's. with kricketune, you have to set up ONE stage 1. Kricketune will 1shot the little weedle before it has a chance...

I have used both Beedril and Failtune, and I can saftly say Beedril is better.

My tourney record with Failtune - 6/6

My tourney record with Beedril - 18/5

My New Hero

I wasnt going to reply to this thread but I cant resist.

The youtube video was really inspirational. I know it wasnt a joke but I certainly couldnt stop laughing while watching it.

Dude i think this kid might get to be a bigger celebrity now than William Hung ever was in the Pokemon community.

Pinsir52 please tell me you'll be going to Nationals this year. Or tell me youre in the Ohio area.

As for Kricketune, you've got a lot to learn still about the Pokemon TCG. BUT please take it to Battle Roads and post a tourney report!

Beedrill seems to have the advantage over this deck. I played Kricketune vrs Beedrill about 20 games. Needing 2 energy to attack hurts it a lot, and having a 2 retreat cost. If you do not ko the Beedrill, I will just free retreat and ko you with my other beedrill. If you are interested in playing on redshark, we can see how it works out. I might even say Bellossom is better than Kricketune, maybe. I would have to see. Either way let me know if you want to play. IM me at Kimtastico8.

If you really want consistently quick damage, Groudon does it better than Kricketune. Seriously. Personally, I think it's going to take more than just big damage to win, it's going to take field disruption and/or damage spreading along with the quick damage, which is what the big decks do.

Trust me, if i make it to Nationals, I won't be playing Kricketune. I will be playing it, however, next sunday at Baton red face paint. You'll get your report.

I think quickatune is pretty good. I ran mothballs(mothim SW, gyarados MT, and unknown P) at a BR yesterday and went undefeated. The only difference is that my damage doesn't rely on having pokemon out. Once your opponent kos your krickatune, your damage out put decreases. Im not dissing this, just saying that once your opponent is set, it's pretty much over for you

You'll get your report

Still waiting.
Just wait...when the "what won BR's" thread starts, you'll see this:

KRICKETUNE

Nope didnt see that. I'm sure you had alot of problems at BR's. Probably the biggest was the decks inability to make a comeback. Either way I hope atleast it did decent, I was pulling for you. C'mon let us know.

Zangoosed- I posted the report, just for you.
lolganium- finally! a little love!!

well... i would go banette over this every time. because it is just as fast, but it also works better

though i would say put an azelf LA in to pull out a prized tot/tune.

Hmm...for anyone looking at the GQ set scans, Kricketune just got a new buddy...a newer version of himself!

Kricketune LV.46 – Grass – HP90
Stage 1 – Evolves from Kricketot

[C][C] Revenge Melody: Does 20 damage time the number of Kricketot and Kricketune in your discard pile.
[G][G] Bug Buzz: 50 damage. If the Defending Pokemon is Asleep, this attack does an additional 30 damage. Then, the Defending Pokemon recovers from Sleep.

Weakness: Fire (+20)
Resistance: none
Retreat: 1

So easy enough now, this can go 2 ways. Focus on MT Kricketune initially, then go to GQ Kricketune late game, or go all GQ Kricketune with LunaSol support. This is pretty cool imo.

The problem is that that Tune is a snack for half the stuff in the set. I saw the new tune and also thought it could bring t2tune back, then I looked at the other cards in the set. lol

Same for AMU.

'Y halo thar lost zone'
'Y goodbye Azelf lv.X'

No way to get them back = end of the archtype
