Some jerk pulled the fire alarm and we had to sit outside in the cold in the middle of the night. It was freezing. So then, a fire truck shows up, and you can see all the firefighters real excited and stuff like "Oh boy, a fire!" And then they look at the dorm and realize "Oh....no fire."

They get out, give us a look to kill, and go inside. Campus police show up, also angry.

And then, WHOOOOOOOOOO another fire truck, which suddenly turns into our dead end parking lot across the street, never to be seen again. When I looked afterwards, it never left, but wasn't in the lot anymore. What the heck?

So they come out, all angry at us, and start yelling "WHO DID THIS!?" and we just kinda shrug, and then-WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANOTHER FIRE TRUCK. OMG WE'RE SAVED.

After they get tired of shouting, they let us back in and as I go in the door-you guessed it-WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANOTHER FIRE TRUCK!!!1!one!!1!

FIRE TRUCK ARE RED, NOISY, AND TRAVEL IN HERDS AMIRITEORAMIRITE?

>:[

So now I hate fire trucks. Any questions?

So do you hate all fire trucks, or just the red ones?

Is this hatred some buried memory as a kid that mom and dad would not buy you your own fire truck?

It does suck though, having false alarms. I work in a high rise office building and we get them at least 1 every 2 months at night.

Some peoples kids think they are soooo funny.

Whenever there is a reported emergency, those services over react. Like one time on drunk dude in his car slammed into a telephone pole and rolled the car into the little hill going up to someone's front lawn. Well they must have brought out 5 fire trucks, 5 cops, 5 ambulances, plus a bunch of fire police cars for them to block the whole road off at all entrances just for this one dude. They filled up the whole street. There was no fire, the telephone pole was ok, and the dude was fine. It was ridiculous.

I think so many people come out because they get bored and want to see some action. I know what you mean.

"The Firetruck is a solitary killer. The ambulence will have to wait its turn."

.....Then I wonder why they travel in packs.

About two weeks ago someone pulled the alarm at my high school, before classes even started. We lot quite a bit of time out in the wind. Thank goodness they didn't pick a rainy day!

Edit: Mew*, congatulations! You've just unlocked a major truth of the human mind!

well.

something like that happened to me too, my friends were ding-dong ditching people while i was just wathing them and following them around. then, a guy calls the cops, and they call the house that i was at and i almost got busted.

not as bad as US Nationals 2008- Tornado alarms 2-3 am IN the morning, the day of the tournament :<~

we were um in the convention hotel place, some people did sleep through it, but it did wake everyone in my room up.

I didn't know what it was at first then we figured it out.

Welcome to college. As long as you live in a dorm, people are going to be dumb. It makes me want to hurt people sometimes.

And as if you folks thought you had problems.... I actually had to deal with a bomb threat at my high school. So, instead of learning Physical Science (one of my favorite classes at the time), I had to sit outdoors in the heat until it was over an hour later.

Er....

Three weeks ago three buildings were set on fire and a bomb threat issued by a devious individual.

We had some people playing Football in the hall at 2-3 am last semester. The ball hit the fire alarm, knocking a piece off. Fortunately, the alarm didn't go off, so using their college knowledge, they decided to reattach the piece, hoping to cover what had happened. Wrong move, because THEN the alarm started going off and ~210 guys from 3 floors had to leave and stand in the cold until our RD and other people came and turned it off...
