Oh trust me, I thought my team couldn't be beaten, I knew nothing of IV's or anything. I got creamed my first online battle.
Quick question, from a Gameboy game newb:
-Can you possibly be a competitive battler without awesome IV's?

Nice. What game is it in, what nature does it have, and what is its hidden power? Eventually I'd like one if you can clone it. (A.K.A Emerald or D/P cloning glitch)
Depends on who you face and if you EV train.
I faced a guy who IV Breed and EV train in the semi-finals of the Gamestop Pokemon Battle Rev tournaments and lost bad. This was back when I was just learning EV.
(Great battle)
Good to hear. I've just started on the basics of EV training, and am nowhere near proper IV raising yet.
Toys 'R' Us Dragonite:
Mild, 20 / 30 / 25 / 24 / 3 / 30
S.def aside, pretty good.
What you want for Garchomp is exactly this:Trying to get a near perfect jolly Garchomp atm.
Since I'm going to all the trouble of getting the iv's, what is the best possible move set for a Garchomp to learn? I would be a little more than sad if I got the perfect Chomp, but didn't give it some egg move.
I'm also looking for another pokemon to try to get perfect iv's on. Anyone know something that would be worthwhile to hatch?
What you want for Garchomp is exactly this:
IV's are to be maxed in HP/Atk/Def or 25+/Speed
Garchomp
Yache Berry
252 EV's in Atk and Speed/6 in HP or Def
Swords Dance
Outrage
Earthquake
Dragon Claw
Thanks for that. You'd want Adamant for power (more), but Jolly so you can outspeed more (IIRC).thought that i should add that either an Adamant or Jolly Nature is best.
