Found this picture, not sure where its from but I didn't even know series 2 was released officially. I never saw anything besides the starters that were released when they were supposed to.

I may be wrong but the Ground Breakers may have been "series two " that article is referring to btw , The flareon and aipom looks great wish i had one of each

Groundbreakers is the title for series 2. Now if they would just release it! I had given up hope on this game, until I saw those pics. Almost all of those look great. Don't know if I like that T-tar though.

I think that Series 2 or Groundbreakers is going to be released in March. The Pokemon TCG Spring Tins are going to include 1 Trading Figure each, so that would suggest to me that there is a chance that this will be a way to help release Groundbreakers after what feels like forever since Next Quest was released.

Thats awesome, I'm glad they haven't killed this game yet it has a lot of potential. I thought Groundbreakers was never going to be released after so many delays.

To me the game is a lot of fun and has the best sculpted figures of Pokemon ever released. Not to mention the trainers are just as great.

I wonder what the third series will be called...Hopefully its better than Groundbreakers...

And hopefully Series 3 has some Diamond and Pearl Pokemon/Trainers. Though it doesn't look like it I don't see why they aren't cashing in on the new Pokemon's success...

I think that they will be working there way up. I expect that we will see ALL of the gym leaders eventually if the game actually last that long and they start to release the game on a reasonable time schedule. I was turned off by the game when they took out rarity and the special non-painted figures.

Crystal figures is just another way to slap on "rare" status and less work on those specific figures: cheaper.
But I'd love to see this game going again and by the way the pic was from an OLD article off of op.

Yes, but you need some rarity. By not having any rarity you make it so that collectors don't really want it. When I am collecting something, I want a bit of a challenge, if it is too easy and a waste of money because it doesn't really have any value when completely makes it hard for certain people (like me) to get into it.

Well I hate to go offtopic but any discussion on the TFG is better than none.

If you ever read Archaic's articles about the TFG in Australia when they were the test market the rarity was seriously messed up.

However they also messed up for the US release. Removing the rarity from figures wasn't so bad IMO, these are more expensive and there aren't as many figures as cards from the TCG. Getting duplicates is no fun thing. Though there are still some figures that are rarer than others, you can see this on ebay, even if its mostly because of supply/demand and not actual rarity. Removing the Pearl/Crystal figures was a bad move however, that would have allowed a kind of rarity that wouldn't hurt the game as much.

Another bad move was the way they were packaged. One visible figure/one none. One of the main selling points are the figures so showing one is not a bad idea, however not being able to buy just a random figure set really hurts the game since you'd be forced to buy many repeat visible figures to get a random one. Also making the visible figure also available in the random slot was horrible, this happened to me twice and made me raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaage.

It did get a lot of ads on TV when it first came out though hardly anyone knew they existed, they really needed to have some kind of Demo and use Pokemon Organized Play to their advantage to help promote the game with the TCG fanbase. Having a figure on the tins is a good idea. Hopefully they've taken all this time to get their stuff together a lot better. Also if they had made these available on toy shelves would have helped as well. I don't think placing them on the TCG sections as a bad move but I bet if more kids saw the figures and more kids would see them in a toy isle they'd sell more.

Well of course we'll see all the gym leaders eventually if the game is not canceled

What I mean is they aren't helping themselves by having the original gym leaders, if they had the D/P trainers/Gym leaders and Pokemon they'd be more recognizable. I mean what if instead of D/P themed expansions on the TCG we were getting original Gym leaders only trainer cards and R/S pokemon only.

I have seen this pic before somewhere....
It is old.
The 2nd set ground breakers was announced and the starters where released awhile back but no boosters.

I don’t know why everybody is saying that Groundbreakers is going to be released in March, it is because last Christmas, 2007, I got a set of this figures for my cousin, it was the one with Latios, I also saw the one with Latias at Toys-r-us:confused:.
