I've always been skeptical of Blizzard releases, especially after the Ghost debacle.

Ghost wasn't being developed by Blizzard, but some outside company. It is also the only game ever in a Blizzard series to become vaporware.

SC2 is reportedly in the beta phase, so I think it will actually come out.

Between Warcraft 1 and 2 there was going to be an adventure game that told the story of an Orc raised by humans. Thrall, I'm pretty sure. It was advertised on the Warcraft 2 original release, and canceled after being pushed back year after year. When Starcraft 1 came out, there were rumblings that Blizzard might finish it, to which they responded that it was long dead.

They haven't delayed it.

They've never announced a date for it yet, it is still in development.

It wasn't truly dead, they did a sort of revamp of it on Warcraft 3 as a Diablo-esq game.

Fyi, Thrall = Horde Warchief, so it would have been a major storyline game if it had been released.
