Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What is your fav. type and color of sleeves?

Green Ultra pro are my favourite. Not for the colour but for the longest lasting. PR sleeves get bent and stuff so easily. The only down side is the 50 in a pack.

i wanna ask something. have any of you tried players choice? they are hands down, THE BEST sleeves to get for any card game.

they last forever and shuffle wonderfully.

i see talk about ultra pro and whatnot.

i dislike ultrapro because the cuts are always bad, they tear easily, and only come in packs of 50 whereas PC sees none of these problems, and comes in packs of 60.

KMC has double packs that come in 100, similar to PC, but are the original japanese ones.

i bought these sleeves at the regionals and there black with what looks like the proffesser logo and they say pokemon card game under that. they came in wierd japanese packaging. there really durable and ive used them for along time, there a litte bent but they cant be called marked cause there all bent

Back in YGO, PCWhites were the BEST sleeves. Unfortunately, they were also the most popular, and most rare sleeves in the US.

Dragonshields, being the cheap as dirt brand of sleeves that they are, may be good for financially inhibited customers, but I find that their cutting machines quite often have inconsistencies in lengths, and will split between 1-4 a game when you shuffle like a YGO player.

My personal choice for Poke'mon are Ultra Pro's basic color sleeves of the non-glossy variety. They don't split very easily at all, sleeve-wear is pretty even, so you rarely have to replace single sleeves. For those that don't mind spending 15 dollars a month on sleeves that keep themselves legal, Ultra Pro is the way to go.

I DO have a fondness of POP sleeves of the thin, glossy variety, with the exception of Garchomps. The GlossyBlacks with the Silver Poke'ball are my favorite at the moment.

Lol Dragonsheilds are 10-12 a set. Not expensive, but definatly not dirt cheap, either. The dirt cheap ones are penny sleeves.

D shields are pretty smexy if you don't do abusive bridge shuffles.

7 pile/rifle/7 pile/rifle/7 pile.

I forget where, but I've done that ever since someone on the Starcity Games M:tG forums advocated that as the best means of randomizing.

My favorite sleeves are the Rotom pre-release and Prof. Cup sleeves.

However, as I've said many times before, you can't beat the quality of Japanese KMC sleeves. DragonShields are a close second.

Glossy white always. :D

This must be PokeGym's longest running poll atm.

*looks around for mods*

Anyway, I refuse to spend decent money on sleeves cos unless they are made of kevlar or something, they are not going to survive more than 1 tourney (if that) in a perfect state, and I am not taking the risk of being DQ'd for marked sleeves.

The JPN Arceus sleeves are great to play with and look awesome. Apart from that I like matt black or white sleeves.

I like the ultra pro nidoking sleeves because they really don't scratch or rip and they don't wear as easily. I also like dragon shield sleeves although I have had bad luck with them ripping. So far brown and red ones are the only sleeves i've had luck with.

My favorites so far are the Midnight Black (I think that's the name) ultra pro sleeves; they're so nice and slick, and have a really good texture to them. Everyone keeps wondering where I get them, which is funny considering ultra pro is about everywhere.

My sea-blue Ultra Pro's. Had them on since I built my first deck in November, and they have lasted through my rigorous shuffling all through the months. I love them!

I like the bluish-purple Arceus sleeves. I used those sleeves for Worlds and a lot of practice games after Worlds and they are still in very usable condition. One thing I can't decide-are they more blue than purple or more purple than blue?

Definately longest running poll.

My favorites would have to be Silver Dragon Shield, or Black Ultra-Pro.

I bought some yellow Ultra-Pro one time, and I could see right through the backs. Didn't like that much.

Oh, and Pink Dragonshield are ftw.

Blue Ultra Pros or Streey Fighter/chun Li sleeves/ ken sleeves!!!

honarable mention white ultra pro's i bought them 7 years ago and they're still good to go! not one of them is torn/marked. i use these sleeves for the tourney havent had one opponent complain about them! and i seemingly tend to have better shuffling/draw with them! i think its the heart of the sleeves.
