^same here.

and i ain't greasy OR fat :0.

i just hope it's not somewhere where it's gonna be 105 degrees all day (and maybe a 5-6 degree drop in temp at night). that was really sucky what with bad AC and stuff

^
Mine's in my basement but I isn't greasy or fat(Cross Country among other sports, thank you very much, I hate stereotypical people....)
Also I think Milwaukee would be a good idea, although I wouldn't mine Florida or Ohio ;p

i would like it to be somewhere that people ACTUALLY want to go to. i mean the great arch is nice, but it was really hot there, and also really boring haha. somewhere with some more "vacation" appeal would be nice.

And Columbus Ohio was perfect for that

For the record, having it in the hometown was nice, but I can see the argument for moving it throughout the middle of the country.

I still think TX would be a great host to Nats. Lost to do down there and is centrally located. Dallas or San Antonio has a LOT to do as well.

(not from TX btw)

for the ones saying, "IDK how much to save" I would rather save up $1000 over 5 months, than trying to get $1000 in 1-2 month(s).

I am already saving for Nats AND Worlds. I always set a certain threshold to strive for, and usually the cost is below it, and It is nice knowing that I am not going to use that extra money for the event, I can actually spend it on SWAG!

True, IDK but putting it in like the middle of not a lot would be humorous(like Kansas or Arkansas or one of those states)Also I still think Milwaukee would be a good choice, I would say Indy but they have Gen Con like the weekend before...

Gen Con is in August. PCI has almost always scheduled Worlds opposite Gen Con Indy.

I live north of C-bus and I can't say that Columbus is that impressive. Our cities kind of lack any form of depth whatsoever. Of course, saying Ohio lacks tourism is stupid considering we have literally the most popular theme park in the world as far as rides go. (Cedar Point)

You can't really say that there has been much to vacation quality for nationals, since there really isn't. Origins was good for the gamer crowd, but I can see why people can complain about Origins.

I stick to my opinion of Indianapolis. As far as tourism goes, its not bad, IMHO its much better than C-bus or STL. Its no Chicago/NYC, but its not overwhelming as far as traffic goes, the airports in a decent location, and its been said that the con center guys have loads of experience dealing with crowds like ours x10. (Gencon, anyone?)

Because how much a bunch of fat, greasy, basement dwelling card players spends time on a forum is DIRECTLY proportionate to how long it takes them to announce the date of US Nationals.

Hey, a lot of us geeks actually take pride in our hygiene. Myself and my girlfriend have already said that big gaming/anime cons should have bars of soap in their goody bags. And I live on the second floor. :p

Why cant they just say St Louis like everyoneeeee thinks it is and get it over with. Its 75% confirmed so lets just get it done.

83.4% of statistics are made up on the spot.

The only reason why they've not said anything is because they don't know yet. They are still deciding, therefore, its not "75% confirmed" to still be in St. Louis. Therefore, there's a probability that it'll be moved.

Look at me I'm offensive

I really wonder whats going on right now, we have the same problem over here in germany, its just not that big of an issue since the whole country can easily be reached by car in one day.
But I really wonder if there is something bigger going on with all the delays etc.

And I think Florida (Worlds 08) was disgustingly hot, for you guys thats an alternative to another place which is considered to hot?

Well, you guys get a little 80-90degree weather and call it a heat wave, so your opinion on what's "hot" doesn't really count. :p

i wasn't saying that columbus was amazing (although my grandma lives there and ceder point is soooo much fun). i was just saying ST. luis was SUPER BORING. and really hot as well... it was probably like 95 degrees in the middle of night! it doesn't have to be vacation appeal, it just should be somewhere with more appeal than st. luis IMO...

Im sorry for bursting on the scene with the ST Louis claims and statistics but im SICK of everyone i know just saying that its gonnn be there and then having to come day by day to see POP hasent posted a date yet. Its funny the last 3 years they posted the date right after the year kicked off yet this year there is  around the Nats site.

Ill keep my mouth shut about nats till Dave and the boys give us a confirmation on where they want it

I'm also tired of people saying that it's going to be back there. Really, think about it. If it was going to be back in St. Louis, I'm 99% sure they would have said something by now. A wait this long makes me think that they're trying to have it in a new location.
