Well, you guys get a little 80-90degree weather and call it a heat wave, so your opinion on what's "hot" doesn't really count. :p
Hmmm, sounds like when we went to Florida and went to Disneyworld (or land or planet or whatever). It was about 58-60 Degrees Farenheit, and we were wearing shorts and T-shirts, and the people running the rides were wearing PARKAS and TOUQUES! I swear, I couldn't believe it. Hey, everyone has their opinions of great weather. Don't knock other people's opinions, please.

I will just saw that Nationals should be somewhere near Illinois because it is centrally located.
I would like it to be in Peoria because it is close to me and people could just fly to their or take an Amtrack from Saint Louis or Chicago to there. Also Peoria has held up pretty well during the economic downturn. They even used that for commercial adds.

Just a little friendly ribbing was all. ;)

You were wearing shots and Tshirts in 58-60 degree weather!!? My house is in that temp range all winter and I'm constantly freezing wearing jeans, and several layers of shirts... *shivers*

I can't help being cold sensitive. Give me 70-80 degree weather over this any day. :p

It's kind of sad when people start talking about weather in the "where's nat's thread". It kind of goes to show just how long we've been waiting...

Apparently you didn't see me with like 3 shirts and a sweatshirt back at origins nationals 2 years back... lol I seriously was expecting to see snowflakes in that building.

That was two years ago. I'm talking now. Leave a blanket in the car for events. If the room temp is below your tolerance, get the blanket.

TRUTH! My dad and I were in San Diego for the 2001 STS, and on December 1 it was 61F and we were eating pizza outside in t-shirts and shorts. All the locals were in parkas and hats and gloves and the whole bit.

Bunch of wussies!

^ You kind of grow used to cold weather living in Ohio. Honestly, I'll wear a hoodie anywhere nowadays if its even the slighest cold.

*lol*
Perhaps a blanket? As a player, you could have one wrapped around you while sitting down.

It's 2010, man. We don't need blankets, we have Snuggies.

This thread is now a petition to have DarthPika wear a Pikachu Snuggie at Nationals 2010. Sign below.

There's also a generic brand of the snuggie for 5$ cheaper, it's not the same (Kidding, never tried it, never will)
There's also a snuggie for dogs.

Naaa, Juniors would be better up there, so when they fall they bounce. Masters don't bounce quite as well.

Any speculation on when we will get info? Not WHAT the info will be, but...
I suppose it's turning into "Any day now"...

Well, at this rate, I have a feeling that nats may once again be in the Midwest. The reason being is that the Midwest is literally the centermost region of the US. When something is in the center, it draws attention. In this case Columbus and St. Louis lie in an area where people see the cities in the center of the nation, so because of this, one would want to go the center of a country. That may literally explain things, as in nats, people from all over the nation will literally come to the center of the nation to play an epic game of Pokemon TCG.

As for where nats may be in, I have some guesses. For one, I have feeling that nats could be in St. Louis again because they did this with Columbus and they may do it to St. Louis too. Columbus had nats from the 06-07 year and then the 07-08 year, while St, Louis could literally have cities for the years 08-09 and 09-10. One other reason I feel about St. Louis's location likely to hold nats is because you may need to look upon the Gateway Arch. The Gateway Arch is often called the gateway to the west most of the time or even the gateway to the east. Thus, St. Louis literally lies in between the west and the east of the US since this is based off the names for the Gateway Arch, making it seem like the midpoint of the nation.

Yet, despite the fact nats could be in St. Louis again, I think nats should be in Chicago. In Chicago, there are so many great-tall skyscrapers like Willis Tower and the John Hancock Center, as well as awesome jazz, great sports teams, and a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Why would we also want nats in Chicago? For one, I think Chicago should literally be cheered up. It was the first city to be kicked out out of the top four canidates for the 2016 Olympic Bid, so by having Nats in Chicago, the city will be cheered up by so many Pokemon fans. More recently, with the VGC taking shape, Chicago could have an oppurtunity to host the nats for the VGC. Why this? In 2008, Chicago, despite being the 3rd largest city in the US where it is just below LA, didn't get to have the Video Game Showdown. Then in 2009, Chicago didn't even host a VGC tournament. Thus, this year in 2010, with an all new decade, Chicago will be a great to host the VGC, not just the TCG. Chicago even has giant convention centers that prefectly can fit tons of Pokemon players for the tournaments. Where could nats be held in Chicago? Well, we have 2 canidates. One being navy Pier or the Mchenry convention center, where the automobile convention is hosted. Being both very large space wise, this'll be great for Pokemon players when it comes to how many will fit in the building since you'll have like 1,000 players from around the nation.
