Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

attendance padding

64 should be doable. We missed top 32 cut in masters at nats last year by 2 people! (126 entrants) I would have gone to the street and signed a couple people up if i had known. I think we will be ok. I will bring my POP id booklets just incase!

We didn't need to go to the street!! We had at least two people in the Ugly Crew with POP numbers (ie. my wife and Tracey B. who were supervising -- that could have signed up, played Round 1 and dropped!!). Then a whole bunch of us (incl. myself) would have made Top Cut!!

I've never played an Ontario Provincial Tournament before... I've judged only two I've attended.

Good luck to the fellow Fossils. One of us HAS to take a major tourney this year, with all of the success in BRs and Cities we've had. I personnally am sick of finishing in 5th place (read utter fail is forthcoming!).

@CP STAR. I'm busy making a completely incomprehensible deck list using magic marker and small print, just so it won't stand out. I'm also practicing having my prize cards just touching slightly. And have a list of irrelevant and time consuming questions prepared for the player meeting. Wow!! It's great to be playing rather than judging!!

LET'S PLAY POKEMON!!

Hello everyone.

I don’t jump in here often, but I feel that I really need to warn people that the actions that Kungfufita and Ugly Psyduck are advocating here are suspendable offenses. Were a PTO complicit in any of the actions these two describe I would not hesitate to fire them.

Do not do this. Do not encourage anyone else to do this. Do not get caught anywhere near this type of activity if you wish to remain a player in good standing.

Whoever does this kind of stuff is...well..."you fill in the blank" lol. Not cool.
Just to be clear here, no one is admitting to doing any of such practices. It was admitted to be a joke which was picked up by another person and run with. The unfortunate part was someone (not singling anyone out in particular) didn't seem to have a sense of humor, and there were consequences. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think the TOM program would have changed a thing, if someone tried to admit players after the roster has been printed and the first round has been paired. I'm not condoning such a practice if it is possible - let me make that perfectly clear. However, I also don't think this subject should have been made a federal case without some private talking. PTO's have had this conversation, and would know better. TO's LL's, and normal professors may not have had the benefit of knowing about this. Perhaps a bit of empathy on our part might change how this is viewed. However since the subject has been made public, I hope my post can be taken into consideration in future handling of such matters.

A few things.

1) No one said they had actually padded the numbers, only that their comments advocated it.
2) You are right; we do not have a sense of humor when it comes to the integrity of our events.

If Kungfufita, or Ugly Psyduck would like to contact us directly to discuss the situation they are welcome to do so.

I realize it is not company policy to discuss sensitive matters with those not involved, but if possible please accept and read my email in this matter. If you decide not to reply, I understand.
