It's lunch break now after playing 2 rounds for masters. The Jrs & Srs. have played 3 rounds. Today masters will play 7 rounds and 2 rounds tomorrow for a total of 9 rounds. With 2 flights of masters they will cut to the top 128, 64 per flight.

My husband says this is the largest card tournament ever, not just largest Pokemon tournament.

Besides a ton of poker tournaments, Magic Grand Prix events regularly break that, particularly European ones. Record is 2224 competitors, just happened this year in Madrid. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic:_The_Gathering_Grand_Prix
