Usually you go with HS/CL Ninetales. I've seen lists with 2-2, 3-3 or even 3-2 (if the deck is low on basics 3-2 can be a legitimate play). Also, you'll want the shiny Vulpix from Platinum.
actually...i think that the regular pl pix is a great option early game for lots of card drawing....but that's just me.
btw i play 2 normal 1 shiny
