Anyone reserve at Toys R Us and not get the wall cling?

I suppose it's a pretty insignificant item, but Toys R Us was the only store to have something special besides gift cards. I know that several people chose Toys R Us just for the wall cling.

My store didn't have them. Or couldn't find them. Heck, they had to find the Legendary Kits. None of the employees I saw even knew of the wall clings. I should have saved their old ad and brought it...

EDIT: Seems quite a few stores didn't have wall clings either...

This is off-topic to an extent, but it relates to something that you said in the post. Along with a giftcard for preordering B/W at target, you got an artists profile which is basically tons of cards with artwork on them for B/W. This could've just been my target, but we got something for preordering games too.

Picked up the games at the TRU here in south jersey.
Got the clings, the kits, and half off one of the games.

I got NOTHING from game stop. I could NOT believe it. I preordered in AUGUST when they promised they would have something!

At my Toys'R'Us - we had TONS of these wall clings. We seperated enough to go to the people who pre-ordered, and then the rest went to people who bought the game(s) today.

Had the BOGO 50% DS games and the free kits as well.

TRU was the place to be. Free Legendary kit is nifty and the wall cling, granted I did not get one, looked pretty sweet from what I saw.

To make up for that mine had a launch party and contest.
I won one of them and walked away with a extra guide.
I have a snazzy Prof. Oak cosplay.

TRU and K-Mart were probably the best places to pick up the game.

TRU had the buy-one-get-one-half-off deal, plus the legendary kit. The wall clings were a nifty little bonus.

K-Mart had the same half-off deal, plus a deal when you bought the Pokemon DSi games you get a second (ANY) DS game for free.

When was the last time you remember TRU significantly outperforming Gamestop on video games? (probably the Guitar Hero deals) When was the last time you remember K-Mart significantly outperforming Walmart/Meijer on ANYTHING? (never)

I had the same problem. PLUS, I called the store that morning to get the White DSi, they said they had about 8 there. I got the 45 minutes to the store opening, they said that they had wall clings and the white DSi on the phone so, I get up there and they only had BLACK DSi's and no clings. That was just terrible. Luckly there was a Gamestop nearby that had the White DSi's.

To be fair, the only thing they were offering was a discount on the strategy guide, Gamestop didn't offer any benefits this time around.

On topic, perhaps that TRU ran out of wall clings by the time you got there? Either way complain about not getting one, they should have to honor it, as minor as it is.

I personally went to Target (would have loved the TRU one, but I had a giftcard at target leftover from xmas, so wanted to spend it, plus trying to save some cash), got some nice little art pieces along with the game.

I bought a few of the B/W tins at my local TRU and they gave me two wall clings.

Yeah - stores were instructed to get rid of the clings after the pre-orders were fulfilled. Our store ran out yesterday (127 copies of Black & White since Sunday!)

Well, called my store and was told that didn't have the wall clings at all, and it seemed that they still had no idea what I was talking about. Totally should have saved the ad. At least I could have made them feel bad :p But I guess that would be mean and immature...
