Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Has anyone ever got a REAL response from Pokemon.com?

I've had two emails in their system for quite a while for separate issues and haven't received a reply to either one.

Be sure you got the automated reply with the ticket number, and, as they say, check your spam filter too. I have always received a reply when I received the automated ticket number. It has taken anywhere from a couple days to a several weeks.

Problems are worked on and replies sent, that is for sure. Sending emails that say they are working on the problem and it will take a while are emails that never seem to be sent, and leaves you wondering if anyone even saw your email.

Yesterday, I submitted a support request ticket through their site's customer support system. Perhaps that's faster than emailing them. We'll see.

Based on my one ticket experience, it is. I posted a question about Iowa states, and had a response in under a day.

Please use the ticket system! It works!

The support system also has a FAQ listing. You might find some of your answers there without the need for personal contact.

I will say I did feel kind of bad about posting this gripe, then finding out 5 minutes later they did respond to one email and I never saw it. And, I understand that being a small league, they do have bigger fish to fry. I guess the root of my frustration is the lack of undetstanding for new leagues. By that, I mean, when you first start your league, you will most likely double your attendance just about every season for the fist few seasons. Going from 4 to 8 doesnt change much. Going from 8 to 16 does. And, if I can only get 9 registered, that doesnt really help me much because I will only have enougj supplies fot half of my league. But, if they were more understanding and give us a bit more than we "needed," we would never have that problem. So, if a league kit minimum was fot 20 players, I would never have the problem.

The othet frustration comes from the appearance of not caring. The lack updating the professor exam to me gives the outward image of not caring. Its not the cards that bug me, its the lack of tournament procedure updates. The rules come from P!P, the test comes from P!P, yet the two conflict.

I started a new league a few months ago, my first session was the last week for the season. For my second season, the order got placed for the six members I had the first week, meaning supplies for 10. My second week of league I ended up with over 20 people. I asked politely for more supplies, via the email system. I got them, a week after I got my order for 10. They do care about new leagues!

As for the test. I have never had a problem with it. Did you send any questions in question to anyone to check? There may be a few that have the wrong answer, or are outdated, but the vast majority of the questions are accurate. I think a couple questions go too far in their wording in an attempt to lead you in the wrong direction, but that is the minority.

I would say that it has less to do with bigger fish as much as it has to do with the sheer number of fish. :)
(BTW Rogue Archetype you were close: there are four of us. ;) This new system should provide some serious backup now though)

With all due respect the issue is not our understanding of new leagues. Let’s just say that if all new leagues were like yours our policy would be different. :thumb:
If you contact us and let us know what kind of growth you are seeing we are generally more than happy to get you some extra materials. We may ask that you get your new players added to your roster first, but it's usually not an issue.

If you ever see a question that seems wrong or out of date we encourage you to let us know about it directly so that we can fix it.

Lastly, I don't know that any of these issues are really "TCG News and Gossip". You might find faster answers as a League Owner on the OP forums.

Just to clarify, the 4 people answering emails are the same 4 people doing mostly everything else. The new customer service portal should eventually help us speed things up. We hope it will allow us to find the requests for more League supplies and other legitimate questions among the sea of voice actor petitions and odes to Misty.

Also, the other big issue (as several of my league players know) was legit emails getting assassinated by spam control ninjas. Your new CS portal should fix that as well.

This thread seems to answer the question in the title quite well.

Pokegym obviously gets real responses!

I know that we like to pop on the 'Gym to chime in when we can but I really cannot stress enough that this is not the best way to reach us on a topic. :thumb:

Now Biggie, wheres the invite structure... ;(

Thanks to biggie for popping on and answering, I do appreciate it and I actually got an email today saying more kits are on the way, so thanks for that as well.

Im not trying to make this a complaint thread nor was I seeking a response from pokemon.com here, I was more curious about what my expectations should be. And, in all fairness, in retrospect, all of my emails have been quite vague, I can see now how to send better emails to assist me in getting assistance.

I'm afraid that it takes multiple departments to get that info live, all of whom are juggling that announcement with everything else going on. I had hoped to see it live last week (as you know) but there were some unforeseen issues that pushed it back.

How about not posting the invite structure? Then just send out the invites and surprise them.
