Pokemon BC Provincials 2011
Leading up to the tournament i wasn't really sure what to run. considering i won provincials last year, i was a little disturbed by how unmotivated i was to build an excellent deck. It almost got a point where i wanted to run gordon's deck but i coudlnt get the cards in time so i ran a fairly standard luxchomp.
Round 1: vs Karl's Luxchomp
I went first, open garchomp, call, sp radar, cyrus. just played textbook mirror to win the round
1-0. good start.
Round 2: vs Henry's Fire deck
I opened chatot collector and went 2nd. i had luxrayX in my hand and just disrupted his setup.
2-0. unfortunate i had to play my bud but tournaments are like that
Round 3: vs Kevin's Luxchomp
I ambipom donk his garchomp with the card i draw for turn being the dce lol
3-0. lolyes.
Round 4: vs Gerik's Donphan Machamp.
I definitely thought i would lose this match as i know he runs 4 SSU, 2 reveral, and multiple warp points.
i manage to flash impact a machop early game and maintain the lead in the prize trade. eventually, he cant one-shot my driflim FB late game while its sniping uxies.
4-0. sick.
Round 5: vs Dexter's Luxchomp
he goes first and has dragonite and uxie. i open luxray and call and i call. he has dce and e-gain. he takes 2 prizes before i take 1 so i proceeded to scoop since i cant forsee coming back from that far behind based on the cards i knew he had
4-1. darn
Round 6: vs Seb T's Dialgachomp
Im ahead in the prize race by 2 and he tries to deafen stall so i cant use poketurns to retreat my dragonite vs his dialga. eventualyl time is called and i win
5-1. MADE TOP 8 =D. title defense really begins now!

Top 4: vs Seb T's Dialgachomp. REMATCH! (typically the person that wins in swiss loses in top cut lolol)
1: Close game then he judges. whoever draws better off the judge wins. he draws better
2: Another erally close game, i have t manufacture prizes as im one prize behind. eventualyl i take the lead by warp nrg'in my garchomp to use dragon rush once again. i eventually win in time, luxray x vs dialga and he needs to take a prize.
3 SD: i mess up and lose when i likely had game. however, seb let me take back alot of stuff and he definitely deserved the tournament win.
Decent provincial title defense. thank goodness alex lost so im 3rd instead of 4th lol

-decent title defense
-gordon, andrew, and the other AB players coming all the way to play
-seb teh for earning the provincial win. played solid players all day. he played 4 of the t8 in swiss. then beat 3 excellent players to win the title. well earned and deserved.
-fairly good top 8
-not running into vilegar
-winning a key bad matchup in swiss, huge morale boost
-my bandwagon. henry, malcolm, etc....

Your tough season seems to be over now. At least the title stay in the team and BC
