So we tested the night before, and I saw a lot of Vilegar. I was pretty confident that I could beat mirror. I had 3 techs against them:wink: I never used the third. Screw Ditto. I'm super nervous, but we start.

R1-Copper w/Mirror-Well we tested with him last night, and he 2-0ed Jared's Vilegar which was similar to mine, but I still think Espeon gives me the advantage. He's pretty ancy, and finally we start:wink: I open strong I think with Collector. He doesn't have much. I set up Gprime and cursed droplets Gengars and Haunters. He's not doing much to me. When I have some damage on me then I retreat to espeon, and I heal it off. He Uxie X's me which I didn't think he played, but whatever. I have rescue on it. I'm far enough that I can start using Gengar SF with the level X to level down uxie, and start sniping his stuff for my last few prizes. Time is called right when I take my last prize. gg 1-0

R2-Cora-She's a really nice local judge and player. She hasn't played for a while because she had a baby. She's playing ERL Typhlosion Ninetails. Turn 1 or 2 she benches ERL. I get Vileplume and Gengar Prime up to curse drop the ERL while she has a sableye active. She gets 90 on my Gengar prime, but I either retreat and seeker or get it back with rescue. Either way the ERL gets knocked out. She took an uxie before with thunder fall though, but she did 80 to 2 of her pokemon which I curse drop knock out. I need 2 more prizes to win so I just poltergiest from there. gg 2-0

R3-Pat Buckley with Magnezone-Pat's from Nebraska. Unfortunately he wasn't playing with vilegar like he was before at cities. Regardless I get early Gengar SF out. I don't go for vileplume because he has blissey to discard them anyways, and the faster I can get sniping the magnezones the better. I 3HKO the maggy's with Gengar X out with rescue. Even though I play 4, I start wiffing on rescues. My first 3 fainting spell flips are tails, including against a belted zone which I had to 4HKO. He knocks me out once more, and I get my first heads. Yay. He's been drawing so much that he's almost decked out. I just send up Gengar prime and stuff so he decks out. I also lay down Vileplume last few turns so he can't communication to stop the deckout. gg 3-0

For Lunch I go to Goodcents. Feels good to be 3-0.

R4-Luxchomp-Yay! I'm at the top table in masters. Oh well. It's only round 4 :) So I start meh, but he has a hand of trainers. He sacks some prizes but then he cynthias for 8. I get up 3 prizes. Somehow he makes a 3 prize comeback. He knocks me out with weavile and I flip tails on fainting spell as always. He knocks my Gengar out again and my game deciding flip is tails. 3-1

R5-Mewperior-NOOOOOO. I hate this matchup. It's like my auto loss. He had to sack some prizes while I shadow roomed benched mews. He played barely any supporters. I got Uxie X and Gengars ready to attack Mew swarms. I was up in prizes after a while, but mew came out and started hard crushing for at least 3-4 energy ever turn. I took 5 prizes, but he knocked out my last gengar. I brought it down to a sudden death flip, which I think I could have won had he started with sableye or mew so I could Uxie X him, but I flipped tails. 3-2 :(

R6-Pete Grisby-Machamp-He starts beldum I think, and he gets a metagross out, and he brings up my gloom breaking trainer lock,. I quick it and retreat. I evolve to plume and snipe Metagross. I snipe it again for the knockout. I start sniping the next threat, regice. He can't get a machamp up but he has a loaded machop so I snipe that for 3. He evolves to machoke, and I am weary of rage so I poltergiest. He brings up machamp. He rages me for something, and then he uses take out to knock me out. I flip tails. I just poltergiest for the rest of my prizes. gg 4-2

R7-Charlene with Vilegar-Y.U.C.K. I did not want to do this. I was using her tech ideas for mirror techs, and I based my build off of hers. She was the reason I played Vilegar. She deserved to win. So she took out the tech the night before. I lost zoned her Gengar prime because she wiffed on BTS. I curse dropped the other Gengars so she had no attackers left. I felt really bad because she was the mastermind behind the deck. 5-2

I made top 16 against Chris Beaty I think. Last years winner.
G1- I got everything set up even though he had early bright looks. I easily won this game, but it took forever.
G2-He knocks out my oddish with another early bright look. I fail to get collector and resources so I have to go agro Gengar. I start poltergiesting and shadow rooming for like 4 prizes, but he gets around fainting spell and rescue with crobat G although I finally got Vileplume down. I can't get another Gengar up because I fail at life so yeah.
G3- Time is called when we are shuffeling so I think you know what deck generally takes the first prize. T2 Weavile is gg. Nice playing you. He makes it to top 8 I believe.

I stay for a couple hours after to watch Jack in Top 4. Woot! Jack you did such a good job. Top 2 was Vilegar with some weird techs against Luxchomp. I don't know who won.

Props
Charlene's Vilegar Expertise.
Jack making Top 4!
Vance going 5-0, Jared top 2ing, Noah winning.
My baby, Vilegar.
