Atlanta Georgia 2011 Regional Pokemon Championship

Date: Saturday, April 16th, 2011

Time: Registration at 8:30 AM – 9:45 AM (You MUST be in line by 9:45 or you will receive a 1st round lost). The main tournament (swiss rounds) should last 5 to 6 hours depending on the age group.

Three Age Divisions: Juniors (born in 2000 or later)/Seniors (born in 1996, 1997, 1998, or 1999)/Masters (born in 1995 or earlier)

Format: Every player will play at least 3 rounds of age-modified, swiss-style play. After the swiss rounds, finals will be single elimination. Players must bring their own 60 card Modified deck and will need to fill out a deck list. Blank deck list will be provided at the tournament or you can fill out your decklist ahead of time via SteveP's Decklist Program. Modified decks include cards from any of the following sets: (DP: Majestic Dawn, DP: Legends Awakened, DP: Stormfront, Platinum, Rising Rivals, Supreme Victors, Arceus, HearGold & SoulSilver, HS: Unleashed, HS: Undaunted, HS: Triumphant, Call of Legends plus DP22 & Higher promos, and HGSS01 & Higher promos). If card has been reprinted in one of the sets mentioned above the older version can be used (i.e. Warp Point, Potion, etc).

Reminder: Players please remember to bring your POP ID#. If you are a new player and don't have one we can provide you one at the event. Also remember to bring your damage counters and burn/poison markers if your deck requires it.

• 1st & 2nd Round Bye at the US Nationals
• 36 Boosters


2nd place:
• 2nd Place Medal
• $1000 Scholarship Award
• 1st & 2nd Round Bye at the US Nationals
• 36 Boosters


3rd Place:
• 3rd Place Medal
• 36 Boosters


4th Place:
• 4th Place Medal
• 36 Boosters


5th - 8th place:
• 18 Boosters


9th - 16th place:
• 9 Boosters

Also Troll and Toad will be at the Atlanta Regional Championships on April 16th buying and selling cards.

They will be paying $.03 for Pokémon Common/Uncommon, and are willing to buy any amounts brought!!! They will also being rares, holos, and other cards prices very, so if you have a whole bunch of extra cards you don't need anymore bring them to the event.

The registration time is a pretty early.
Will there be anything on friday? I might be staying at the hotel.

Its the normal registration time that the past Regionals have had. Since the size of the event, better to start earlier then later.

There is nothing offically planned for Friday night. The room will be set up and the hotel is usally fine if players want to play in the area ahead of time as long as they don't make a mess.

sorry to hear you wont be able to make it. Hopefully your parents will let you come out to the BW Prerelease in Lilburn on April 30th.

Mmm, that is interesting on the lower rate. When I worked out the $69 room rate last year, their standard rate at the time was $76 a night. Thanks for the information.
 
Yeah, i actually saved 4 dollars from the special "Pokemon Rate" this year by just reserving online. Last Year I booked it on priceline in only paid 59 plus tax.
