Bronzong G in sablelock?

So yesterday, I was playing against gyarados with my sablelock. Early in the game, I got a ko on something with honchkrow g, but after it got regimoved to the bench, I didn't do anything else with it.
The prizes are 1-1. I have a collector and energy in my hand with a garchomp x on the field with an energy gain on it. I cannot take a prize this turn, and lose. However, if I ran bronzong g, I could have easily collector'd for it and galactic switch'd the the energy from honchkrow g to garchomp.

So, can I have som thoughts on this?

Game winning in a certain situation does not necessarily translate to generally good. If I'm going to run a single fatty retreater, it'd be Let Loose Tina.

I should probably clarify xD

IF your Sablock has some room, THEN run Zong. I think it's amazing, but mine is built to be an all out SP counter, which is why I run no BDK, no Blaziken, AmbiDrag, and Zong G.

Zong helps so much with moving energies before you Poke Turn. Plus, as a start, it's not THAT bad...attach to it, Gswitch, Poke Turn, and you haven't missed a beat.

I don't like it in Sableye tons. It's ok in some situations, but it's really best in already teched out lists (ones with tons of counters in it).

The question is, do you play with or without Blaze? If you play with it, then you probably don't have enough room. If you play without Blaze (which I used to prefer - however, my meta isn't full of DChomp and without Blaze it's more consistent, so that's what I would do now) then you could have room for it.

I'll probably try my Sablelock with Zong again as I'm taking my Blaze out for the moment.

Why would Sablock without a secondary SP be BETTER with Bronzong? If anything the secondary SP would give him far more versatility uses.

Completely agreed.

Tested alot with it, and it didn't help me at all. I've found that thinking ahead can easily replace bronzong in most cases.

Not enough room IMO, but only if you run both Blaze AND BDK. Regular Sablelock has Honchkrow G as an optional secondary attacker.

It's necessary in luxchomp because there are so many more options to be considered in games, whereas with sablelock, your goal is kind of to take options out of the game, making everything simpler for you. You should be able to think ahead enough to survive without it.

I used to dislike it, but I've grown to love it after testing it during Cities. I wouldn't quite say that it's a must have, but it's something that I'd strongly consider.

Bronzong G is typically the most useful card that you can put in this deck somwhere in spots 57-60.

I love it in here.

I disagree that it's mandatory. Energy ends up on Sableye and on Honchkrow where it can't come off. Not helpful to you.

I agree it's very helpful.
