another thread that I replied in made me create this thread- it has to do with the infrared signal for the black and white games. ( thanx Kayle :tongue:)

I am wanting to know if the Victini event ticket can be "transfered" to another cartridge via the infrared feature from a cartridge that has the download already.

As the event/download has expired, there is no way to get it ( for now) but there is the option to go infrared when you go into the nwfc in the gift check.

Any info on this or has anyone tried the infrared feature yet?

I'm quite sure the Victini event is still going on, it goes on until the 10th of April in America.

BTW, it's a Wi-Fi Event.
 
I made a mistake on the end date of the event.

I have already dl'd the ticket. ( wi-fi )

I am asking if anyone knows if you can transfer the liberty pass/ticket to another cartridge via the infrared that has not recieved the event. In the gift options, you can see that there is an option for you to get the gift via infrared.


I did find the answer to this question two days later from this thread start date.

Comes to find out after me and some friends who were running the ds tournament at cities took some time to get some stuff figged out, and to assist others who had questions- the infrared gift option did not work.

It seems that a person will have to be lucky to be near a cartridge that has the infrared "out going signal" to recieve a gift in this manner.

So it isn't possible without outside sources because IIRC, you can't choose to send an "Outgoing signal??"
 
If Infrared can be used to share things, it can only share event items which were obtained in-life (example: Toys R Us Rotom Key).

You are incorrect - There has not been a single instance in the US or Europe where one can share/transfer an event of any kind.
 
Now trading via the infrared feature is quite nice. It makes trading so much easier, cuz it allows you to not have to rely on just the pokies in your party. It also by-passes the need to go into a union room.

The infrared is less of a time hassle as well. I think that the infrared event download feature is interesting that it apears that the feature will be used at events like the vgc to get Pokies, unless they use the wi-fi signal like previouse events.

Well he was half right. The Japanese Secret Key can be given via the share option. And the funny part is that you can send it to non-Japanese games, and it counts as a differet Wondercard than the normal English one so you can have both the English and Japanese Secret Key Wondercards in one game (like I do). :lol:
 
So- does the USA plan to have any use for the feature?
Or is the infrared just there for the main purpose of the ease of trading and a couple few other minor uses?
