Hydreigon partners?

Hello everyone I am a big fan of some of these new NV cards, especially Hydreigon!

I have been racking my brain on some new and old cards to partner Hydreigon with.

There are some combos I have been thinking about Hydreigon with Elektrik and Engineer's Adjustment's.

I've also thought of pairing it with Emboar and Ninetales to make basically a Reshiboar deck with Hydreigon. Also, I've been thinking about Jirachi but Energy accel is not a main feature with Psychic like it is with Fire and Water. There is Electrode but I've never had any luck with Energymite and I don't think it will change soon!

So all you masterminds please tell me if there are other viable combos/partners with this 3 headed beast or if the few I have suggested are viable!

Thanks for reading!

I use Emboar from Black and White, with the ability allowing me to quickly stack fire energies, which immediately become dark once attached to Hydreigon, allowing for a quick tank

I was trying to brew a Feraligatr shaymin Hydreigon deck but I don't have the wallet for shaymins.

Emboar to me seems like a great partner with Ninetales to speed it up But I must say, my first idea was Elektrik Hydreigon with Yanmega but I dont have Yanmegas yet (only a tenner)

@Veno Meadow, people thought Gothitelle and Magneboar were slow. Look at em now (I know Magneboar had Magnezones power, but still)

I like the idea of DCL (I don't however like the "take 2 prizes" and the fighting and psychic weakness)

pachi/eelektrik/shaymin+engineers seem like a solid energy accel. something I've wanted to try out but I keep trading away hydreigons as soon as I get them.

Would Hydreigon work as a tech in a Lanturn deck? Just get the minimum energy needed on Lanturn and dump the rest on benched Hydregion for Lanturn to use?

My vote goes for Yanmega / Hydreigon.

Resists Fighting, can attack for free, can snipe, can retreat, and 70 + 60 would mean together they can take on a Zekrom. You can run less energy then.

I'm trying it with electrode and kyurem. Just before you pop electrode, use that research papers thing (the card that lets you look at the top four cards of your deck and put them in the bottom or top however you want).

I think lanturn and Hydreigon would need like elektrik and engineer's or pachi and shay to help accel all that energy

I do believe Hydreigon and Yanmega is a good idea. The obvious free retreat and attack, plus the covered weakness.

That might be a viable deck. Cobalion Kyurem Electrode, but take out cobalion and just load water energy up.

I want to do Hydreigon and Eelectric and junk arm.
You Junk Arm away the Energy after you use, say, Plus Power or Catcher. I also want to throw in a 1-1/0-1 Reuniculus line for Damage Control; that way I can abuse Junk Arm again after I use Max Potion.

what about floatzel/shaymin? being able to pile energies then move them. Floatzel can also serve as a quick attacker when going against donphan, of couse with a plus power..

I'm working on Hydreigon/Tyranitar Prime myself. Still needs more testing before i can make any judgment calls.

I still feel that emboar is the way to go, it allows a constant stream of Hydreigon to go out and attack. People seem to ignore that the most useful card in Hydreigon is Sp.Dark energy, and seem to ignore putting it in. The card allows you to actually OHKO your opponent's active pokemon (who would have thought!).

Actually, SP.Dark still is weak as Sp. Metal negates 1 and Eviolite 2.
So, I don't think its "powerful" as you say. But, against something other than Cobalion or Kyurem...maybe SP.Darks are powerful.
