K, so this will be my cities thread. I'm gonna write a report for all the cities I got to and post it here.
I have like never won a cities for my life so hopefully that will change.

Independence MO
So up to the tournament I don't have any idea what I'm gonna run. I love CaKE.dek but I think my friends gonna use the kyurems we split to buy. I'm thinking about reshi and magnezone/elektrik but can't get the list right for the latter. I make a few changes to my cake list "just incase" I get to play it, but mainly focus on reshiram/typhlosion. I decide to opt out of playing ninetales in favor of more supporters. I print lists off for both of them and head over to Independence.
When I get there I'm early so I test a little with Reshiram/typhlosion. I'm doing bad with it so I ask around for kyurems. Yet again Brit comes to the rescue with 3 kyurems. You're amazing Brit. So now both me and Chad can play CaKE.dek and we're happy.
So anyway I give my list to the judges at the registration table and soon after that the rounds start. I'm probably not giving my list out but I ran terrakion and jirachi.
Round 1 vs Jasper? w/ Primetime
We talk a little bit and he tells me that this is his first tournament. I'm like that's cool good luck and we both start. He flips over his card and I see a….. Yanma. Wow. First time huh? ;p Anyway he draws and I guess his hand is bad so he judges. He gets a magnemite I think and benches that and ends. Well he judged me into nothing… (I staryed with kyurem BTW) So I bench a voltorb I think and use N. He complains that he liked his hand…. So after that I get a collector and a poke comm. and I think a juniper so I'm happy. I also attach an energy to the active. (Water I think) and end. Well he draws and uses N… Ok, that's interesting. He attaches to magnemite and passes. I draw a N. I use it. I get a decent hand and attach rainbow and evolite and bench a cobalion and attach evolite and the enrgy and end. He draws and evolves to yanmega and snipes my cobalion… Ok? Then I attach and evolve into trode and energymite getting a few energies. I then catcher his magnemite and glaciate. He evolves into magneton and can't match my hand size so he uses speed ball or something. Well because of evolite itr does zero damage. I then glaciate. He draws and collectors and does stuff and attacks me for 20. (40-20=20) I draw and glaciate. He sends up yanmega and sonicbooms active. I draw and glaciate for the last couple prizes. GG After out game he looks at his prize cards and sees like 3 magnezones there. He's all like "So THAT'S where they all were!" I tell him he should shuffle more and he agrees and we go our separate ways.

Round 2 vs IDK with IDK
I saw a bannette and a terrakion. I get like turn 3 energyite and get a ton of energies, getting a kyurme active with some damage and 2 energy and a fresh one on the bench with 3. I glaciate with the active one the rest of the game by accident. I didn't notice it and the guy next to me told us after our game. I'm like oh well gotta be more careful next time. I didn't really matter cuse I could have retreated but oh well. Not the first time I'll use an illegal play today. (Hint hint)

Round 3 vs Ryan K. w/ donphan dragons
In know Ryan from around league and he's pretty nice. I think this is his first year in seniors. He's like Oh great I have to play you I'm gonna lose and sits down. I tell him nothing set in stone and we set up. He starts something like lone phanphy. I have start with cobalion and attach and collector for basics. He draws and gets basics and ends. I draw and attach I think and use PONT. I then like energy press and end. He draws and gets a phan and attacks I think. I then iron breaker and energymite getting some energy on my board. I just Ko his donphans when they hit the field with cobalion and catcher and win. GG?

Round 4 vs Matt w/ Cinccino/kingdra
I played him before the tournament and I know he's running Cinccono kingdra. I starts amazing with voltorb, research records, energy, juniper, poke comm. and collector. He mulligans and I draw stuff. He's all like I hope you start cleffa but I have the donk and I'm like uhoh. We flip and he goes first. He has minccino. I'm scared. He attaches…. And uses plus power… and collectors for stuff… then he uses last resort…. HEADS!!!! I lose.
We play a for fun game later and I just spread with kyurem and nuke with Jirachi FTW. I'm pretty sure I can handle him if I play him in cut. (If I can make cut)

Round 5 vs Jared L. w/ Chandelure/vileplume
He's really mad that he's playing me because this is a really bad matchup for him. The other 2 3-1's both got down paired lol so IDK how that happened. Anyway I have a lone kyurem and a PONT, electrode and collector in hand. He starts pichu and uses playground. I get voltorb voltorb kyurem cobalion. He gets oddish oddish litwick litwick and a dodo. I draw and evolve into electrode and use PONT. I attach to kyurem and research records and blow up. I only hit one energy and pass. He draws and uses candy vileplume and playgrounds and ends. I know he probably has a twins so I need to be a little careful. I draw and attach and glaciate. He draws evolves to gloom and dodrio, ends and wakes up. I draw and attach to kyurem on bech and glaciate for 3 prizes. He draws and sends up a vileplume and evolves benched gloom into vileplume and twins for a litwick and another card and ends. I draw and collector for jirachi shaymin and bench jirachi and then attach psychic to it and celebration wind all but 2 energy to it I retreat to jirachi and time hallow for 3 prizes. We pick up and he's like that wouldn't have likked my other vileplume because I evolved it from gloom but you had the win anyway. GG sorry I had to play you.

I start ok and go for cobalion early. He KO's all my voltorbs but that gives me enough time to manually power up a cobalion. I just go agro cobalion and when it gets close to dying I use switch and shaymin to put the special metals on the other. This game was scarry because he took the first 4 prizes but I used my N's and cobalions and catchers so those were his only prizes he took. Oh, did I mention terrakion killed like all his zekroms?

Ok, so my games go like that for a while and then I get to a point where I have a cobalion with 4 SP metal and all his zekroms are dead and he has 3 prizes left. He can probably take 2 more with catchers but by then I should have the game. My deck has like 15 cards and my discard pile is huge. I decide I'll get the shaymin so I can keep the spo metals in play so I junk amr fopr pokecomm and use it to put a kyurem in and to get a shaymin. Afetr I do this he looked throught my discard and says there isn’t a pokecomm there and I'm like uh-oh… Well the game state can be recovered so that's good. The judge comes over and does some talking and gives me wo prize penalties, 1 for making an illegal play with the junk arm and one for shuffling my deck or something. I'm a little confused because all they have to do is get the card that I showed kyle back from my deck and that's that but apparently not… wow

So before the tournament I'm busy with school and have little time to test. I decide to build chandy just for fun but soon realize that the deck is pretty good. Unfortunately I don't have cards but think I might be as to borrow some. I build that and cake and go to Baldwin.
So I get a little lost but when I get there I ask around for some chandelures. Unfortunately no one has any extras and me and chad can barley get enough cards to both play cake. I run the same list minus juniper And plus bianca. I changed this because I figure I'm already discarding cards so might as well not discard any more.

Round 1 vs idk with reshiplosion victini
He starts with victini and cyndaquil. He attaches to victini and passes. I start with cobalion and have collector. I use collector for 2 kyurem and 1 voltorb. I attach to benched kyurem and end. He draws and uses collector for 2 reshiram and a victini. He attaches and uses power things doing 60 with weakness and move its energies to benched reshiram. I draw and attach to benched kyurem and use PONT. I get a triode and evolve and pass. He draws and attaches to another reshiram and passes. I draw and attach to benched kyurem and pass. He draws and attaches to reshiram an uses interviewer. I draw and use PONT and and get research record. I attach and use it and blow up. I get the energy and retreat and catcher cyndaquil and use glaciate. He promotes reshiram and uses outrage. I draw and bench a voltorb and use Bianca. I get some stuff and use glaciate for 2 more prizes. He kos some stuff but ultimately 2 kyurems are too much.

I start with jirachi and volt orb and go second. By the time it's my turn he has a tornados active with one energy and a pacha on his bench with two. I draw and attach and use PONT and end. He draws and uses collector for a pachi, shay, and a zekrom. He benches pacha and uses self gen and attaches for turn as well. He benches zekrom and dual balls for another and benches that and uses celebration wind. Can't really do much so I scoop soon after.

I know people some people might run mirror so in goes 1 victini.
I also know there will be some zekrom too so in goes a third cobalion and metals.
Well there are like 5 ZPST's and 1 mirror.

I know there is absolutely no chance at me winning this game. Thankfully, Kyle is a generous player and scoops because he realized he put in his birthday wrong and is the wrong division.
Unfortunately, he gets DQ'ed afterwards messing with my resistance.

I draw and get another Sp metal and attach and end. He draws and like snipes a voltorb. I draw and use PONT and get catcher and Sp metal. I attach to coba and iron breaker never look back. He has a zoura but that is catchered. GG

K, so I know I will lose.
Hes all excited and is shuffling like crazy. I take it slow and draw. I have coba active. I use collector for 2 voltorb and a terakion. I attach to coba and end. He draws and attaches to zekrom and uses PONT. He then ends. I draw and attach and use PONT. I get some stuff and attach and end. He draw passes. I draw and attach to coba and use blowup and get some energies. I then iron breaker for like 3 turns while he draw passes. He gets like 3 energy on a benched zekrom and has 0 in hand and as like a shaman active. I switch to teriakion and catcher zekrom and use land crush catcher never look back. GG

I start with terakion and use collector to get stuff. he draws and does some shenanigans and uses eeeeeek. I draw and attach to terakion again and PONT. I get evolite and smash the on terakion and catcher a dynamo and retaliate Ko it. He draws and does stuff and gets a couple enrages but has to eeek. I draw and use N I think and get an energy and a junk arm. I attach to the active and bring up his zekrom with a few energies and KO it. He does some more stuff but can't get anything going and terakion takes 4 prizes. I clean up with a SP metaled coba and a victini and win. GG

K, so I'm thinking about either playing Ross, 6 corners or Chandy. When I get there I ask around and no one has any Chandy stuff. The store only sells like old Pokemon cards so I know I'm left with either Ross or 6 corners. I play a few games with the latter and am not running well so I decide on ross. I find out what people are playing change my deck accordingly. Idk why I decided to run DCL and Jirachi but I did. Lol.

So, my friend chad gives me a ride up to omaha.. I hear that people play chandy without plume, durant, and DnD. I decide on reshiplo, which seems to have a good matchup against all of those.
R1 vs IDK

R2 vs Jordan with DnD
Before this game I heard that he ran zoroak. It might make this a little harder, but far from unwinable. I get an ok start, to his turn 2 dolphan I believe. He kills Two cyndaquil and I can only get 1 typo because another cyndaquil is prized. At some point I get it out though with super rod but by then he has taken 5 prizes to my 4, but is runnuni low on resources. I get despret and decide to use typlosion. I use PONT and whiff energy so I have to use double after burner on it and knock something out. He then uses earthquake. I see he has a kyurem that has some damage on it on his bench so i use twins to get reshiram and Junk arm, thinking I have catcher in the discard. I use it and see I don't have one... So I send up reshiram and pass, because I need to keep him from being able to take the last prize. His active dolphan has some damage, while there is an un damaged one and a kyurem with 5 or 6 damage on it. I basically juniper and stuff and whiff on catcher and stall by sending up reshirams. By the time I get the catcher, I have no cards in deck and all my pokemon are within one hit KO range on earthquake. I have comm, and energy, and a reshiram in my hand and an active reshi with 2 energy. I have to send the reshiram to my deck or else I will lose. Basically if I had one more pokemon I would have been able to take the last 2 prizes with that reshiram. I lose. Props to Jordan for playing this matchup very well, he deserved to win. ;/

I start with jirachi and volt orb and go second. By the time it's my turn he has a tornados active with one energy and a pacha on his bench with two. I draw and attach and use PONT and end. He draws and uses collector for a pachi, shay, and a zekrom. He benches pacha and uses self gen and attaches for turn as well. He benches zekrom and dual balls for another and benches that and uses celebration wind. Can't really do much so I scoop soon after.

I also know there will be some zekrom too so in goes a third cobalion and metals.

I draw and get another Sp metal and attach and end. He draws and like snipes a voltorb. I draw and use PONT and get catcher and Sp metal. I attach to coba and iron breaker never look back. He has a zoura but that is catchered. GG

K, so I know I will lose.
Hes all excited and is shuffling like crazy. I take it slow and draw. I have coba active. I use collector for 2 voltorb and a terakion. I attach to coba and end. He draws and attaches to zekrom and uses PONT. He then ends. I draw and attach and use PONT. I get some stuff and attach and end. He draw passes. I draw and attach to coba and use blowup and get some energies. I then iron breaker for like 3 turns while he draw passes. He gets like 3 energy on a benched zekrom and has 0 in hand and as like a shaman active. I switch to teriakion and catcher zekrom and use land crush catcher never look back. GG

I start with terakion and use collector to get stuff. he draws and does some shenanigans and uses eeeeeek. I draw and attach to terakion again and PONT. I get evolite and smash the on terakion and catcher a dynamo and retaliate Ko it. He draws and does stuff and gets a couple enrages but has to eeek. I draw and use N I think and get an energy and a junk arm. I attach to the active and bring up his zekrom with a few energies and KO it. He does some more stuff but can't get anything going and terakion takes 4 prizes. I clean up with a SP metaled coba and a victini and win. GG

K, so I'm thinking about either playing Ross, 6 corners or Chandy. When I get there I ask around and no one has any Chandy stuff. The store only sells like old Pokemon cards so I know I'm left with either Ross or 6 corners. I play a few games with the latter and am not running well so I decide on ross. I find out what people are playing change my deck accordingly. Idk why I decided to run DCL and Jirachi but I did. Lol.

I know he has weakness all but one card in my deck; Vileplume. I get that ASAP and the rest of the combo and start attacking. He eventually koed it. Then I go aggro kyurem and never look back. Later he says he had his cobalion prized....

I have an ok start but need to use twins to get fully set up. He gets both of the hydra stage ones. I use Jirachi to start devolving both, so that the only way he can get hydra is by activating twins by koing Jirachi. GG

So, my friend chad gives me a ride up to omaha.
. I hear that people play chandy without plume, durant, and DnD. I decide on reshiplo, which seems to have a good matchup against all of those.R1 vs IDK

R2 vs Jordan with DnD
Before this game I heard that he ran zoroak. It might make this a little harder, but far from unwinable. I get an ok start, to his turn 2 dolphan I believe. He kills Two cyndaquil and I can only get 1 typo because another cyndaquil is prized. At some point I get it out though with super rod but by then he has taken 5 prizes to my 4, but is runnuni low on resources. I get despret and decide to use typlosion. I use PONT and whiff energy so I have to use double after burner on it and knock something out. He then uses earthquake. I see he has a kyurem that has some damage on it on his bench so i use twins to get reshiram and Junk arm, thinking I have catcher in the discard. I use it and see I don't have one... So I send up reshiram and pass, because I need to keep him from being able to take the last prize. His active dolphan has some damage, while there is an un damaged one and a kyurem with 5 or 6 damage on it. I basically juniper and stuff and whiff on catcher and stall by sending up reshirams. By the time I get the catcher, I have no cards in deck and all my pokemon are within one hit KO range on earthquake. I have comm, and energy, and a reshiram in my hand and an active reshi with 2 energy. I have to send the reshiram to my deck or else I will lose. Basically if I had one more pokemon I would have been able to take the last 2 prizes with that reshiram. I lose. Props to Jordan for playing this matchup very well, he deserved to win. ;/
