i would love to see one pokemon game that encompasses the five regions that have been introduced thus far (kanto, johto, hoenn, sinnoh, unova.) itd be interesting to see how game mechanics would change, if you would be allowed acess to your old pokemon when you go to another region. Would all of this fit unto a DS card? is this even possible? just curious....

Probably... But Pokemon wouldn't make as much money from TVG if they did... Just my 2-cents lol

^that is the truth. It is about the money. Why sell one MEGA game, when you can sell 5 games for the same price.

That could take probably 4-5 years to make a game with that much time and memory. Although, making a game like that could be cool and it would take us 5 weeks, just to get through all 40 badges. Not to mention that we would have to capture every Pokemon in the game, right there would take several weeks, just to capture every Pokemon.

I had a similar idea too vaporeon.
They should try making pokemon a little more action based.

They should. In my version of the game, they don't use turn based system. It has it to where you can control your Pokemon in free combat. I'm also going to change how the stats works.

Those are my thoughts exaclty. Even though the turn system is alright, I would much prefer free combat
You want your Pokemon to do a combination of moves, let it of course to a certain extent. Something like a fatigue gauge to watch so you dont over do it

Likely, it could fit in a DS cart, but that would also mean scaling back on quite a lot of other features too I think. Probably wouldn't be worth it. However, for a main console release (a true Pokemon main series rpg like in the handhelds, not the rubbish of Colloseum or XD: GoD)...that would be cool.

Overall, I think it would be nice if they incorporated more than one area into a game; GSC and its remake are about my all time favorites, as connecting both Johto and Kanto offered more to do after beating the E4. Whereas pretty much every other game ends at that point besides collecting legendary Pokemon and pointless Battle-whatever stuff; at least Emerald incorporated a full Frontier of different themed areas, while most just offer a crappy Tower of sorts.

I had a wall of text, but I hit the back button and lost it all. I was just talking about the game I was going to make. There goes 1 hour of typing.

^That's terrible. :nonono:

It most likely wouldn't fit on a DS cartridge IF you kept the quality the same as BW. But if you scaled it back or used a 3DS cart, it would most likely fit.

I always felt that they should have been putting Pokemon on the main consoles with a single Core/Central game and multiple Downloadable Contents.

This would solve multiple issues, such as Event pokemon (Download through wifi), purchase retired Event Pokemon (Wifi), Download/purchase new regions, patch updates for new pokemon and/or attacks, and would also promote Pokemon on a larger screen.

Additionally, it would be more beneficial to have a store (Say, ToysRUS) give out unique redemption codes with purchases rather than have people walk in, not buy anything, flip open a DS in the middle of their store, and leave after all of 2 minutes.

Or if the connection is good just sit in the front or back of your car.
