Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Why are Korean booster boxes so insanely cheap?

From what I have read in the previous 2 pages, people understand that he is not going to re-sell; they are just trying to let him know that he won't be "saving" money.

I agree with Trader and Mario; prices will not drop in the near future, if they even drop at all.

I still think I will save money.

I will not be spending as much as people that buy boxes when a new set comes if I buy the Korean boxes just for collection purposes and then complete the sets as singles and trades, I don't see how it can cost me more than 2/3 boxes.

You won't be spending as much as people who by English boxes, but you aren't buying the same thing. Korean cards are not English cards. Having Korean cards does not get you any closer to having your English collection.

You could just NOT spend the money on Korean cards. You would have spent LESS money, and be just as close to finishing your English set: not at all.

If you are trying to complete your set without regard to which cards are or aren't in English, then yes, buying out Korean boxes and then filling in the remainder with English singles would sort of save you money... I guess. But that's a weird collection, so I kind doubt that's what you meant.

Matt is interested in Korean Cards, like how Tony is interested only in torbs and trodes cards. Like Matt says.. he loves the Korean characters, so that is why he's buying it.

HE WILL STILL BUY THE KOREAN CARDS!

Matt's saving money because its not costing him as much to enjoy similar cards. If not for the Korean release he'd be paying top price for the English release. Because of the very cheap korean release he'll be able to wait until the English prices go down and then he'll jump on those...at a greatly reduced price.
Basically, he'll get double the cards in two different languages for less money and be can start today instead of waiting till the english prices drop.
Sounds like a win win:)
AND HE LOVES THE KOREAN SCRIPT!

You shouldn't buy the packs at TRU... it's too expensive especially for the HGSS and DP

:( So nvm. Do not teach me thine ways.

Also, I buy Japanese boxes. I understand too much of Korean for Korean cards to be of use to me.

Do Korean cards hold any value themselves, if booster boxes are so cheap? I've seen the Korean booster boxes on eBay, too, and have been wondering.
