Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Pokemon Checklists - Update 1-5-21!

Hey! Created an account just to say thankyou for these lists~! :D They're so much better than most I've found online, and so much simpler to understand and use :)

That being said, are you going to make a list for the new BreakPoint set anytime soon?

I'll get BreakPoint done tonight. Hopefully I can stop being lazy and update the totals page too. :)

Small update

2/13/16
  • Updated "P6 XY Promos" to include revealed promos through XY136

I'll get to Breakpoint soon. Lots going on. Figured I'd at least update the promo page.

3/7/16
  • Added "66 Breakthrough" to the English sets folder
  • Added "67 Breakpoint" to the English sets folder
  • Added "68 Generations" to the English sets folder

Thank you so much for your work on these sheets, they are incredible.

Just noticed a small error. In Legendary Collection you've got:

105 Challenge!
106 Energy Retrieval
107 The Boss's Way

I believe this should be:

105 The Boss's Way
106 Challenge!
107 Energy Retrieval

Yep, you're right. I'll have it updated and released with the next set's checklist.

Just created an account so I could tell you how awesome these checklists are! Thanks so much for all the work this must take SMP88!

The only issue i've been having is the totals file. The file I get from dropbox is only updated to Phantom Forces. Is there another dropbox link i'm missing somewhere? I don't think so because the Fates Collide file says its been updated recently.

Haven't updated the totals file yet, haven't had time between work and moving. Hopefully in the next week or 2 I'll have Steam Seige and the totals page up.

Hi SPM88.

Thanks for the awesome lists! You are doing a great job!!
I just have a couple of questions to the first Base Set list (01 Base Set). What are the difference between "Normal", 1st Edition, 3rd Edition and 4th Edition?

1. I know about the 1st Edition stamp (first cards ever that was shadowless). These cards also had "1995, 96, 98, 99 Nintendo, Creatures, GAMEFREAK C 1999 Wizards" at the bottom of the cards. I have some of these and I believe it is the same as "1st Edition" in the Excel sheet?
2. Also I know that the cards printed after this was the exact same cards, except Machamp. And these cards did not have the 1st stamp. So I guess it is the same as "Normal" in the Excel sheet?
3. So 3rd Edition? Is this the most common ones? With shadow and printed "1995, 96, 98 Nintendo, Creatures, GAMEFREAK C 1999 Wizards" at the bottom?
4. And 4th edition? Same as the 3rd, but a bit lighter/brighter and printed "1995, 96, 98 Nintendo, Creatures, GAMEFREAK C 1999-2000 Wizards" at the bottom?

Anyway, thank for the lists :)

Hey SMP,

Just wanted to thank you for uploading Sun and Moon... And I guess wanted you to know there's still people out there using your database over others!! So would love if you could keep updating them! I've just decided to work out how to update the Totals page myself, and think I have it if you want me to update it once I'm done? But I doubt I'm gonna rack my head around the Remaining Cards sheet... Although I'm yet to give it a go!

Thanks mate!
Chris

Hey SMP and all - I've been keeping these up to date on my own computer, including the Remaining Cards and Totals pages, along with an improvement here and there since I've gotten a little more familiar with Excel.
I wouldn't want to steal your thunder on these wonderful lists, but to save you having to go through updating all of them (and since many others are still using them a lot) I could transfer them to you for sharing if you'd like?

If you have updated Remaining Cards and Totals pages I'd be glad to replace the current versions. Those always took the longest time to update. I've been uploading new sets everytime they come out, I just haven't really posted it here. What improvements have you been able to make?

Only minor additions to be honest. I've brought Totals up to date apart from the By Type sections, I stopped as I was trying to figure out a way to speed up the process a little, but may just have to slog it. I'll admit I don't use those pages at all myself so haven't felt compelled to do it up until now!

Otherwise I've:
  • Added set symbols to Totals - useful when sorting your cards and can't remember all 72 set names/symbols off the top of your head!
  • Created a few "card divider" and "Binder index card" templates for printing out onto card yourself - I'm not buying some plain cut-to-length plastic for £3!
  • Updated the promo sheets with information on specific promos as well as including different edition-cards as separate entries, for example the pre-release and "staff" pre-release cards sharing the same promo number, not to mention the World Championships. I figured since these sheets aren't in any lookups anywhere else, they don't need to be the same as the others.
  • Added what I've termed sets 53A, 58A, 63A - the Dragon Vault, Kalos Starter Set and Double Crisis mini sets/mini-expansions. Used these number/letter combinations so you know when it was released alongside the usual sets. They are collectible by the average Joe and not promos, not POP-like, so they are normal sets I say! Also added these to Totals, but not Remaining Cards yet.
  • (EDIT!) Added additional columns to Totals Summary page - Set Size, Set Symbol, # of 9-pocket pages per set, Folder number. These last two are to calculate what sets should go in what numbered Ultra Pro 3-ring binder (what I use for set/display storage). I've figured that more than 50 9-pocket pages per 3-ring binder, full of cards, is too many for this folder to hold. A formula calculates when this number is reached for n sets, and therefore when a new folder should be started. This allows you to plan your collection ahead of time and not need to shift sets around in your folders as you fill out the earlier collections, if you have a gap/stopped collecting for years, like me. It's a little bit manual to update though, uses a hidden column, conditional formatting and you'll need to merge/unmerge cells, but only needs doing once every 3 or 4 sets as you'll notice.
  • Did some colouring in - added conditional formatting to Totals so you get excited as your sets approach 100% on your collecting journey!

Let me know what you think, this was only meant for me/personal use though so I don't know about the set symbols, since I just took those from Bulbapedia and Serebii. Am I "distributing copyrighted material" if I upload with those in there, do you think? I'll PM you a dropbox folder link if all is good.

Cheers, Paul

Finally after much faffing around I've managed to semi-automate the filling out of the Totals/By Type sheet, and by extension any other Totals sheet, by way of a formula generator. Excel doesn't let me use the value of one cell as an external reference from another cell, so you have to copy/paste and F2/ENTER a bit but no more manually looking up where your summary "tables" are within the individual sets! Takes about 2 minutes to go through now as opposed to 20+.

Waiting for your A-OK and I'll PM you a link.

Sounds good. If you could send me the link that'll be great. I'll be able to take a look at it sometime next week. Thanks!
